A far cry from the typical Disney Princess-type stories we’re used to hearing when someone befriends a wild animal , a girl on TikTok documented her journey raising a pigeon that came right up to her while she was out at a pub with some friends.
He started weak and tired, but she gladly took care of him, connecting with the friendly bird right away and sharing the growth of their relationship in a compilation that’s since gone viral .

One woman’s unexpected pet adoption has warmed hearts across the internet.
TikTok user @realvintagedollhouse posted a video that tells the story of a pigeon she met while out at a pub.
She claims the pigeon came right up to her and hopped into her lap to hang out. Staff told her the pigeon had first walked into the pub, but patrons started kicking him, so he walked back outside.
But his journey hadn’t started there.
She was also told by some students that he originally walked into a different pub up the road acting disoriented, and people there took to throwing him around, so the students brought him outside thinking he’d fly off. Instead, he found his new friend.
He stayed with her all night, even falling asleep on her shoulder as she walked home.
She felt a lot of sympathy for the little guy, writing in the video’s on-screen text, “I knew I couldn’t leave him, so I [brought] him home.”
She wasn’t even sure if he’d make it through the night, but she’d soon find out he had a bright future ahead.
The next series of clips shows their growing bond.
She displays the original makeshift bed she put together for him, then splices together clips of the passing days as he grows stronger and more confident.
She’s unsure if he’s a baby, noting how tame he is. He doesn’t have any tags, either.
He becomes incredibly comfortable around his human savior.
He starts jumping onto her arm by choice, staying perched on her shoulder as she does housework, and even flying onto her arm when she extends it for him. She’s clearly elated.
However, she was worried about doing what’s best for him. The video ends with more on-screen text asking, “[…] would be interested to know if people think I should keep him, release him, or take him to a sanctuary?”
That video was viewed almost 14 million times.
Which means she got plenty of answers.
The overwhelming consensus was that she should keep him. Pigeons are highly domestic birds and he would probably be safer with her, nor would she be doing any harm by keeping him. One user wrote, “[As] a zoologist this [is] one of the very few times you will hear me say this but keep him.”
So she did!
He even has his own TikTok account now, @ComeOnLittlePigeon , where his antics will continue to be documented. The account is just three days old and already boasts over 100k followers, meaning we’ll be seeing a lot more of this little guy as his internet fame only grows!
