T.I. is looking to make amends.
After being deeply affected by the tragic deaths of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, the rapper just issued out a public apology to his daughters.
Kobe Bryant’s death has been hitting everyone hard.
The basketball legend, along with eight other passengers, (including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria), passed away this past Sunday, after his private plane crashed in Calabasas.
With hearts broken all over the world, it didn’t take long for the tributes to come pouring in.
This included everyone from J-Lo to Taylor Swift to The Rock.
This year’s Grammys also paid several special tributes to the athlete and his daughter.
Even T.I. shared countless tributes for Kobe and his daughter, starting with this one on Monday.
“Life’s too short man. Love hard on your children & family & live everyday like your last,” the “No Mediocre” rapper wrote.
He shared another post of the father and daughter:
In it, he wrote:
“As a father I can’t even imagine… May their spirits rest comfortably in the afterlife as their legend of love (for basketball&each other) live on forever.”
Since Kobe was so close with his daughters, his tragic death seemed to be the wake-up call T.I. needed to try and make amends with his daughters.

If you remember, the rapper landed himself in hot water this past fall for the controversial comments he made about his daughter’s virginity on the Ladies Like Us podcast.
It all began when the hosts asked if he had given his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, the “sex talk” yet.

The rapper’s answer was surprising, to say the least:
“Not only have we had the conversation. We have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen,” he said.
He even recalled leaving a sticky note on her 16th birthday that read: “Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.”
In addition to swift backlash from people who found T.I.’s actions “controlling” and “creepy,” his daughter reacted in her own strong but silent way to the controversy.
She ended up liking some negative tweets about her dad and even unfollowed him on social media.

We’re curious to know how she feels about her dad now after he shared this next post.
“I love you girls more than my vocabulary will allow me to express,” he began in his post addressed to Deyjah and his stepdaughter, Zonnique Pullins.

“You have grown so much right before my very eyes & blossomed into strong, brilliantly opinionated, independent young women,” he wrote.
“I’m so proud of you both and I love you to no end, more than you’ll ever know.”
T.I. then asked his daughters for forgiveness for “any and all imperfections that cause misunderstandings between us.”

“You see Life may throw us curveballs & deal us some pretty bad hands at times. But rest assured, you’ll NEVER find yourself in a place too high or low for me to be there to catch you when you fall.”
He continued:

“I just can’t let another second go by without letting you know while we’re still here in this life together. You have ALL MY LOVE FOR ALL MY LIFE… &AFTER!!”
Zonnique saw the post and replied to her stepfather by writing, “I love you pops,” with lots of heart emojis.

Deyjah has yet to comment. It’s hard to say if she will since she’s still not following her dad on social media.
This is the second time T.I. has apologized to Deyjah for the inappropriate virginity comments he made.
When he appeared on Red Table Talk a few months earlier, he said, “I came to clear up any misconceptions that have been surrounding how we interact and parent and what is appropriate and inappropriate.”
“I think all of this surrounds a conversation I was having in a very joking manner. From a place of truth, I began to embellish and exaggerate and I think that a lot of people took it extremely literal.”

He added, “I never said I was in any exam room. That was an assumption. That is a falsity. I never said it was being done present day as an 18-year-old… I never said that her mother wasn’t present. Her mom was present.”
When speaking about Deyjah, he said, “she understands my intentions and she knows who I am. She knows who I’ve always been.”
“The outside, the noise, it’s distracting, it’s confusing, it’s hurtful and embarrassing.”
