Bran Stark. You either love him or hate him. Some fans are terribly bored with his storyline, while others wait anxiously for him to make his final move.
There are a number of theories surrounding this Stark child, and a new recent one has caught our attention.
And no, it’s the not the one where The Night King just wanted to be his carer , although I think that one holds water.
Bran Stark is the hot topic of discussion lately.
Bran Stark has not always had the most interesting of storylines, but he tends to have the most theories surrounding him.
The newest one floating around on the internet is seriously worth looking into.
The Starks have always been the children of prophecies.
Melisandre is very into telling prophecies, and Arya seems to have fulfilled one of them. She fulfilled the Azor Ahai “The Prince that was Promised”, who was meant to take down the Night King.
Yep, not Jon Snow or Daenarys, but little Arya Stark herself.
However, since that was the case, it has led fans to believe that Arya was being led in that direction by someone else.
Perhaps Bran isn’t the Night King after all.
While fans have long debated that Bran may be the Night King, people are now starting to believe he actually may be another big player.
He is already the Three-Eyed Raven, but he could be doing much more than that.
Not that being the Three Eyed Raven isn’t cool enough on its own. And being a greenseer is pretty cool too. Bran’s got a lot going for him.
This theory explains why the Night King wanted Bran to die.
We have not yet found out the reason as to why the Night King wants him dead.
Luckily, a fan on Reddit wrote out a theory that proves to be the perfect explanation.
Melisandre has already said that there are two gods.
One god was the embodiment of light and one was of darkness.
The darkness has been defeated by Arya, but we have yet to see the Lord of Light.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
Bran does, because Bran can see everything. You have to admit, that’s a lot of power for just some mortal kid to have, even if he’s the Three-Eyed Raven.
Bran’s final fate has the potential to be epic.
Bran may just be the Lord of Light .
It may seem farfetched, but if Arya could be the Prince that was Promised, then maybe another Stark could be a god.
If he was the Lord of Light, he would’ve known Arya needed his help.
Since Bran can see the future and is all knowing, that would allow him to know that Arya would need the dagger to kill him.
Although looking back, it would have been nice if he had shed some light on the situation a bit sooner.
Maybe it all has to be done in secrecy, or maybe Bran just likes the drama of it all. Who’s to say?
The Night King’s supposed enemy, his opposite, was the Lord of Light.
But all he ever cared about was killing Bran. As Reddit pointed out, “Followers of the Lord of Light believe that their Lord is always at war with his evil opposite diety. Theres always a dichotomy. Light vs Dark. Good vs Bad. Fire vs Ice. Everything in this world has an antithesis.”
“The 3 eyed raven seems to be NK’s eternal adversary.”
“He intentionally killed the OG 3 eyed raven, and ever since he’s been after Bran,” he continued. It would make sense then that maybe the Three Eyed Raven is an even bigger deal than we know.
What will he do for the final episode?
Fans are waiting with bated breath to see what Bran will do in the last episode. With all this build-up, we’re sure it will be something spectacular.
Do you think Bran is the Night King or the Lord of Light? Let us know in the comments!
