We’ve waited a long time, but our patience is finally being rewarded.
Season 5 ‘Peaky Blinders’ is beginning, and very, very soon.
If you live in England, even better news:
You can go to Birmingham Town Hall on the 18th of July where BBC Birmingham and BBC One will be hosting a world premiere.
Isn’t that the greatest news ever?
And I can only assume that North American fans will find a way to stream it the next day.
It’s what we’re good at.
Many of the stars will be walking the red carpet.
This includes Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson and more!
Will Tom Hardy be there? I want to know!
What happened in season 4?
Series 4 ended with the Shelby clan having more power since Tommy was elected in Birmingham South.
Politics will definitely be at the forefront of the season.
Especially since Arthur has gained parliamentary connections.
Dramaaaaaaa.
However, we can naturally assume that Shelby will be using the power for evil.
Okay, maybe not EVIL, but they will definitely be using their power for manipulation.
But what is going to be even more interesting is Tommy’s health.
His mental health, specifically.
He’s going through a lot, and fans are hopeful that the show will explore that more.
The First World War is clearly still on his mind.
So we could assume that he is suffering from PTSD.
It would be interesting to see that explored more.
Are you excited for the new season?
I’m basically desperate for it.
What are the chances that another Tom Hardy scene pops up? I’ll even take a flashback!!!
Let us know in the comments if you’re excited for it!
