With the silly mistakes some contestant make on Wheel of Fortune it’s no shock longtime host, Pat Sajak , 76, snapped at one of them last Tuesday.
No Touching Before Calling!
The show’s rule states that contestants must call out a letter before spinning the Wheel of Fortune. However, Alabama school administrator, Mary Ann Hotaling, nearly broke them until Sajak warned her against it.
Hotaling Nearly Messes Up
The wheel landed on $1 million causing Hotaling lots of excitement. She almost stopped the wheel without calling a letter when Sajak stopped her.
Sajak Instructs The Contestant
“No, No, No, Ba-Ba-Bo-Bop!” Sajak yelled out. He then instructed Hotaling on how to spin the wheel.
What’s Beneath The Wedge?
Hotaling corrected herself and unveiled the $1 million wedge after choosing the right letter. She won $500.
The One Million Dollar Excitement
Hotaling picked the million dollar wedge after calling “H” which appeared twice. He said seeing the Million Dollar Wedge makes people get excited.

Handling Contestants With Care
Earlier this year, Sajak was compassionate towards a contestant that made one of the most epic fails in Wheel of Fortune history. The young lady, Kushi, missed an “S” in “Fre_h Tropical Fruit.”
Kushi’s Epic Fail
All Kushi had to say to win a trip an island with $600 was “S” but she called “G” instead.
Sajak Was Compassionate
Sajak explained that being on the hotspot is different from watching the show from home. He understood why Kushi froze during teen week, and glossed over the epic fail like it was nothing.
Drawing Parallels
Fans drew parallels with that situation and Mary Ann’s excitement saying there’s nothing wrong in Sajak’s response to the latter. It was lighthearted and in line with the game’s rules.
Positive Feedback On Teen Week
Maggie Sajak interviewed the contestants at Teen Week including Kushi who said she’d been a fan of the show since she was three.
Teen Week Was Fun
The other teenagers said they had the best time on the show and had no complaints about Sajak. One commenter noted that Sajak got a break from his critics on Teen Week night especially because the winner had a positive energy.
Fill In The Gap
The gamemaster shared a video of Sajak and Vanna White while sharing a teaser of what’s to come. They asked the home viewers to fill in the gap in the comments and the responses proved his point about pressure on the spot.
All The Feels
Wheel of Fortune provokes a lot of lot of emotions from its contestants like Devin who teared up after going bankrupt last week.
Time’s Not Up Yet
Despite what critics think, Sajak’s time as Wheel of Fortune’s host isn’t coming to an end yet. Unless he makes a surprise announcement soon.
