Redoing your home can be an exciting time when you get to design and decorate the way you want. However, not all home makeovers come out the way you originally think that they will. Sometimes, we make small mistakes, little errors, or just straight-up ruin the entire process. Just see some of the worst home makeovers that actually happened to real people.
Is it a floating garage?
It seems to me that whoever planned this construction did not account for the fact that cars need to drive into the garage, not fly. Unless of course, this is for the Jetsons who have a flying car.
The landlord special.
Is it me, or do all landlords paint over walls until the paint is so thick, it looks like the wall is moving? Word to the wise, do not paint over bugs when you are painting your home.
It just hurts my eyes.
Adding a whole new level or area to your home can be very exciting and a huge step. However, if you are going to add to your house, you should most likely ensure that it matches the rest of what is already there.
Can’t slam this door.
Imagine being angry and wanting to slam the door, but then you aren’t able to do so because the door doesn’t even fit inside of your doorframe—clearly, that would enrage me even more than wanting to slam it the first time.
That is going to be unfortunate to take apart.
When you are building anything, especially an awning, the best thing you can do is to be sure that you don’t get your tools or your ladder stuck into the construction parts. That is a huge no-no.
Watch out for them pets!
When laying down pain or even cement, it’s important that you watch out for your dogs and your cats . They will walk down the wet cement and they will leave pawprints all over your floor. It’s not a design, it’s just our pets.
They tried their best, I guess.
How is it possible for someone to mess up this badly on the exterior of the home? Clearly, this is not how it is supposed to be, because now, no one can get into the house without jumping.
Nope, no one wanted to use the outlet.
You should hope that there are people who don’t need to charge their phones or plug in the TV. Clearly, whoever painted over this really didn’t want people to use any kind of electronic.
This is just unfortunate.
This seems to be the toilet that no one is allowed to use because once you sit, you best believe you are falling right into there. They have one job to install the toilet top, how can someone mess up so badly?
Well, no one is showering here.
Maybe the construction crew thought that it was one of those shower heads that would come down like rainfall. But, it’s definitely not that fancy type and instead, they are never going to shower again.
This just makes me extremely angry.
Corners can be really hard in a house. If you are going to put the sink on the corner piece of a countertop, you better make sure that it’s all even. This is just terribly planned.
Why would anyone do this?
Ceiling fans are a great way to cool a room down, but there is no way that someone thought it was a better idea to cut out of the pillar than it would be to move the ceiling fan.
They will regret this eventually.
Cool staircases may seem like a fun idea but then, when you are drunk or tired and walking up or down the stairs and probably hurt yourself, it will be a huge regret that you wish you can take back.
This is going to be a huge mistake.
Installing a dish for TV is a process and requires a professional. But, the professional may have fallen asleep on the job, it seems. This ladder is not moving anywhere.
Don’t mind the lizard, guys.
I’m not sure if a bug or a lizard is worse, but clearly, this little guy couldn’t get away quick enough. Clearly, this is a huge mistake that will haunt the homeowners forever.
