Every year it seems like companies release products for the fall earlier and earlier. As soon as July 4th passes, we can expect shelves to be flooded with orange, red, and brown decorations — some stores even putting out pumpkin decorations for Halloween already.
While many of us oppose seeing the change of season so early in the summer, there are some moments worth celebrating.

This week, Target released some of their Halloween costume lines, including a new section specifically made and tailored to children in wheelchairs.
Parents of children who are using wheelchairs know that shopping can be difficult.

Not only is it hard to tailor clothes specifically for children in wheelchairs, it’s hard when holidays like Halloween come about and your kids want to wear the same costumes as everyone else — but, can’t.
Now, Target is introducing an entire line of costumes specifically made for kids with wheelchairs.

They are calling the entire collection targeted for these children the Adaptive Costume Collection. Each costume comes with accessories that specifically fit the child’s wheelchair.
While they only have two options right now, each costume comes with everything your child could ever need.

There is one costume marketed for boys and one costume marketed for girls, but each can be used for either gender of your choosing.
The first costume is a pirate, and it comes with a wheelchair cover that is meant to look like a ship.

The wheelchair cover features full, colorful, realistic designs that also incorporate the shapes and sizes of wheelchairs (like here, with the water covering the wheels).
Marketed for girls is a princess costume.

The costume comes with a dress and accessories to make your daughter feel like royalty when she goes around town for some candy.
The costume also comes with a chair cover, too.

The chair cover features a carriage, much like the one Cinderella rode in on her way to the ball!
While the costumes look complete with both pieces, they are sold separately.

The dress itself for the princess costume retails for $20, while the chair cover retails for $45.
The pirate costume is also sold in two separate pieces.

The costume itself runs for $25 and the chair cover also retails for $45.
Clearly, seeing such a big company incorporate all children with all needs is truly inspiring.

Parents online were sharing the story, saying that they felt “seen” and they were happy that someone was finally considering their child this time around.
You can order either of the costumes on Target’s website.

Target is selling both costumes, ready to order, on their website — and, the earlier you order them, the earlier they will ship!
