Target has always been a store that showcases acceptance and inclusivity in their store and collections. This year, the company has launched an all-inclusive Pride collection for the entire family. From clothes to party decorations and toys, there’s something for everyone to wear and play with this year to show they are a true ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
Target explains how they are setting out to make pride a full-year experience.

On their website, they explain that the clothing and accessories are meant to show representation all year -round, not just during pride parades and pride month. They also have different inclusive items.
There’s something for everyone in this collection.

There’s clothing for parents, kids, and toddlers alike. And, not to mention stuff for our cats and dogs, too. With Target’s new collection, there’s literally no reason for the whole family not to show their support.
And, the shirts are too cute!

Even if you don’t identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you can show your pride and support by sporting an “ally” shirt.
A portion of the proceeds collected from the collection are also going to charity.

Target is donating a portion of the proceeds from their Pride collection to GLSEN , an organization that supports LGBTQ+ youth.
“As GLSEN was founded by a group of teachers in 1990, we knew that educators play key roles in creating affirming learning environments for LGBTQ youth. But as well as activating supportive educators, we believe in centering and uplifting student-led movements, which have powered initiatives like the Day of Silence, Ally Week, and more,” the organization said on their website.
GLSEN is prevalent across the United States and in schools.

“We advise on, advocate for, and research comprehensive policies designed to protect LGBTQ students as well as students of marginalized identities. We’ve brought record support to the Safe Schools Improvement Act and the Student Non-Discrimination Act and fought discriminatory legislation in over 15 states,” the organization said.
The charity has over 1.5-million people in their national network.

“Today, after over 25 years of leading the movement, GLSEN’s national network is more than 1.5 million strong, with students, families, educators, and education advocates working to create safe schools. More than 500,000 GLSEN resources are downloaded by students and educators each year,” the organization said on their website.
It’s important that all members of the LGBTQ+ community feel accepted and seen.

With this collection and proceeds going to charity, it gives funds to help the organization raise awareness and shed light on important aspects of the community and ways to support it.
