Well, I’ve heard Spongebob called a lot of things.
Possibly forwarding the gay agenda (from some mad people), possibly too b**t obsessed, but I’ve never heard him called a violent colonizer.
Well, it’s finally happened people.

We’ve gone off the deep end.
Grab your water wings, I guess, because when we start looping Spongebob into our insanity, that’s when we know we have flown too close to the politically correct sun.
So here’s what happened.

Some no doubt really fun person to be around, University of Washington professor Holly M. Barker, published an article recently entitled “Unsettling SpongeBob and the legacies of Violence on Bikini Bottom”.
She likens Bikini Bottom, home of Spongebob and his pals, to Bikini Atoll.

A place where the U.S. Military detonated 23 nuclear bombs back in the late 40s to late 50s, forcing the inhabitants of the small island to all leave due to nuclear poisoning.
And I’ll give her this: Bikini Bottom has been confirmed to be named after Bikini Atoll.

But that’s the only two similarities that the places share.
On the one hand, it’s nice that cartoons are being taken seriously. On the other, it s***s they’re being taken this seriously.
