Netflix’s Wednesday: Season 2 is set to drop this year
Jenna Ortega returns on Wednesday, as Netflix releases a new sneak peek at season two.
The first season premiered back in 2022

Wednesday became the second-most watched English-language Netflix series within three weeks of its debut, earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations – so it’s safe to say fans have high expectations for the upcoming season, with the lead star also serving as a producer this time around.
The series revisits her time at Nevermore Academy

The series, which is a spin-off of The Addams Family, will be showing us Wednesday back at Nevermore Academy. In addition to Ortega, season one cast members Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán are all making a comeback.
However, there will be some interesting new faces

Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor join as series regulars.
More about season 2

“Season 2 will be delightfully dark, kooky, and mysterious,” showrunners Gough and Millar explain. “If we told you why, Wednesday would kill us.” “So our lips are sealed.”
Wednesday Season 2 was renewed in January 2023, with the show promising more “torture” in an announcement video. Naturally, super sleuth Wednesday would not want it any other way.
You probably didn’t see that coming, but…

The original Uncle Fester from The Addams Family movie will also make an appearance, which is rather significant. Yes, Christopher Lloyd will be in on Wednesday.
But why the sudden change…?

“Our goal this season was to discover some fresh faces as well as invite some acting legends we’ve always admired to join Jenna and the gang at Nevermore,” showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar said.
Even the vibes are changing in this season!

This new season is reported to be ‘darker and more intricate’, with Zeta-Jones calling it ‘larger and more twisted than you can possibly imagine’.
This new teaser is only a few seconds long, but it confirms Wednesday’s reunion with Tyler (Hunter Doohan), who was previously revealed to be the season 1 villain.
Wednesday fans have been waiting for THREE YEARS for this

While many fans were thrilled to see Jenna Ortega return to the part, several expressed their desire to see even more of Wednesday Season 2, saying, “We wanted to see Enid.”
But that’s not all…

Season two of Wednesday will be available on Netflix this year, though a release date has yet to be determined.
