I think everyone in the world gets embarrassed when they have to watch footage of themselves doing anything. Even Olympic athletes can be embarrassed by their own performances, as Shawn Johnson proved.
Shawn’s husband, Andrew East, shared an adorable video of their daughter Hazel watching Shawn’s performance in the 2008 Olympics.
“Even though @shawnjohnson NEVER lets us watch her gymnastics, @olympicchannel wanted her to live tweet her performance. So @drewhazeleast and I are over here having a blast, Shawn not so much,” Andrew captioned the video.

The clip shows Shawn on television doing her vault performance while Hazel watches on, transfixed.
“That’s your mom,” Andrew says to Hazel in the video. When Shawn almost nails the landing, he adds, “Whoa! Say, ‘yay mama!'”
“It was okay,” Shawn joked as the camera panned to her looking unimpressed.
“I do have to say it is kinda weird watching this,” Shawn said of rewatching her performance on her Instagram Live. “I could kinda care less. It was just so long ago,” she added.
