Well, this is an interesting development. But if you think about it, he’s not really your traditional superhero.
He is really just a guy who buys a bunch of equipment and beats up people that he deems dangerous (which to be fair, often times he’s right).
Let’s see what Pattinson thinks.
Batman is one of the greatest superheroes out there.
Not just because he’s dark and mysterious, not just because he has one of the best rogues galleries in the business, but because you could be Batman.
Given a couple billion dollars and a couple martial arts lessons.
Or is he a superhero at all?
Enter Robert Pattinson, the man who’s going to be playing Batman in the upcoming Matt Reeves movie.
He said recently that he doesn’t consider Batman a superhero, and today we’re going to find out why.
He was in an interview with Today
When the interviewer asked him : “[The role] came to you and you thought what? You wanted to be a superhero?”
Pattinson replied:
“Batman’s not a superhero. It doesn’t count. You need to have like magical powers to be a superhero.”
He said something similar to the New York Times!
” Batman’s not a hero, though. He’s a complicated character. I don’t think I could ever play a real hero—there’s always got to be something a little bit wrong. I think it’s because one of my eyes is smaller than the other one.”
Do you think he has a point? Let us know below in the comments!
