Rebel Wilson is poised to finish strong in her “Year of Health.”
While the rest of us packed on the quarantine 15 (no shame, carbs and wine are worth it), she’s managed to lose 40 pounds.
But now that she’s reached her first goal, the comedian has realized that she’s not quite done. She recently revealed that she wants to lose a “few more.”
If you’re following Rebel Wilson on Instagram, you will have noticed that she’s looking drastically slimmer these days.

Back in May 2020, she took to Instagram to get candid about her weight loss goals.
She shared that she wants to get to 75kg (165 pounds) by the end of the year.
This is all part of her “Year of Health” mission.

“Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going x it will be worth it,” she wrote.
We love an inspirational queen!
Ever since announcing her goals, she has been keeping fans up-to-date on her weight loss journey. We have loved watching it!
This includes all of her hard workouts with Australian-based trainer, Jono Castano.

In one workout session, Jono put her through the paces with 30 laps up and down the stairs of the Opera House (meanwhile, we’re eating chips).
“Last week I could only do 25 laps …sooo already improving,” she wrote .
As for her diet, the *Bridesmaids* star has been following the Mayr Method diet plan.
This plan focuses on eating foods that contain a high alkaline content, such as vegetables and fresh fish. You’re also advised to chew your food slowly.
Rebel’s new boyfriend, Jacob Busch, has also been helping her on her weight loss journey.
The *Pitch Perfect* actress started dating the businessman right before the coronavirus pandemic.

In case you’re worried about Jacob only being attracted to Rebel’s slimmer physique, an insider told US Weekly that that’s not the case.
“Jacob adored Rebel last year before she went on her health journey.”
So with all these steps put into place (personal trainer, solid diet plan, hunky boyfriend), it’s no surprise that Rebel has lost 40 pounds.

The actress recently announced this when she made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show this past Tuesday.
She began by sharing her previous history of yo-yo dieting.
“I think what I really suffered from was emotional eating and dealing with the stress of becoming famous internationally,” she said.

In order to deal with this stress, she said that she ate a lot of donuts (you and me both, sister).
She added that her past diet was a lot of carbs and not a lot of healthy things like protein.
Since she has a history of “theme-ing” her years, she took that same approach with her “Year of Health.”

“So I had the ‘Year of Fun,’ last year I had the ‘Year of Love,’ and this year it’s gonna be the ‘Year of Health’ because I turned 40 this year in March,” she said.
“I never really focused on my health, which was probably obvious,” she continued.

“I was going all around the world jet-setting everywhere and eating a ton of sugar. That was kind of my vice. I have a very sweet tooth. I love desserts.”
With her 40-pound weight loss in the books, the actress did make it clear that she wants to “lose a few more.”
“I love my curves and stuff. I don’t think I’ll ever go too skinny, but I feel so much healthier,” the *Cats* star said.

This has spiraled into positive changes in all areas of her life (which we LOVE to see, of course), including her “really coming into my own” with her career.
“I feel more in control,” she continued.
“I get to produce movies now — which is amazing — and have more control over the content.”

“Everything seems to be coming together. Maybe I was a late bloomer or something, but I’m slowly getting it together.”
Go, Rebel!
