As I sit here staring at my computer monitor, I am acutely aware of the mountain of dishes in the sink behind me that require washing, the army of crumbs and sticky spots on the counter that need wiping, and that withering houseplant that’s just begging for some water.
Am I going to get up and do any of that? No . Am I going to sit here and wait for someone else to hopefully do them first? Of course I am . It’s simply what I do best.
If you’re also a pro at the art of “leaving it for someone else,” I think you’re really going to enjoy these quotes!
Broom? Never heard of her.
Honestly, it’s my favorite thing to do. What’s that old saying? Oh right, out of sight, out of mind .
But I have to say, I think this is actually missing the all important step of first brushing the crumbs off the counter, then kicking them under the fridge.
It could be worse, that’s for sure.
I mean, at least I can walk through my place without running into anything. For me, the point of “okay, something must be done” will be when I can’t make it to the refrigerator anymore.
“Scooch over.”
I, too, like hiding from responsibilities. I just might stay in here until someone else takes the initiative to do all the chores I’m avoiding.
Hopefully it will be Daddy.
But how good does it feel to walk away from the sink afterwards?
Even if the dishes don’t even necessarily need to be soaked, I’ll still leave them in there for a few days. You know, just to make sure all the gunk has really been lifted.
And then maybe even a few days more.
