Queen Elizabeth is hardly lacking in the accessory department. She is the queen, after all. She is someone who has endless jewelry options — so many you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who has a bigger collection than she does. Plus, she’s seemingly always lending out pieces to the women in her family, and if they’re anything like my family members, she’ll never see them again!
Now, fans are learning there may be a juicy meaning behind one of the queen’s most popular crowns.
Of course, when you think of royal accessories, you think of crowns and tiaras — that’s kind of their whole thing.
And while Queen Elizabeth has no shortage of glittering hair accessories, she also has many pieces that are of significant value to her — either because they’re sentimental, or family heirlooms.
Who can forget the pin she wore to commemorate her late husband’s 100th birthday last month?
The brooch , which featured a diamond-winged butterfly with ruby accents, was gifted to her by the Dowager Countess of Onslow when the then-princess married Prince Philip back in 1947.
Now, fans are learning that the Queen’s ruby tiara also has a hidden significance.

According to the House of Garrard, the jeweler who initially crafted the tiara, the “Burmese Ruby and Diamond Tiara was commissioned by The Queen herself in 1973 to include rubies gifted to her on her marriage from the people of Burma” as reported by Town & Country .
“The 96 rubies are a symbolic gesture, as rubies in Burmese culture protect from illness and evil, in this case to protect the wearer from the 96 diseases that can afflict humans.”

“The rubies and diamonds are set in a series of rose motifs inspired by the Tudor Rose, the heraldic symbol of Britain,” the statement adds.
Able to protect from evil is an amazing symbol for anyone to have as part of their jewellery collection, especially the queen!
While some people believed the queen wore that specific crown during a certain royal engagement a few years back , maybe it was just a coincidence.
