As crazy as our world can be, it’s also filled with kind-hearted people. Just take a read through these random acts of kindness and try not to tear up.
The latest act of kindness came from none other than a professor. He proved the profound impact educators have on people’s lives when he helped out his grad student who’s a mom.
Plenty of professors are willing to go the extra mile for their students.

Like when a Georgia college student had to bring her baby to class because she couldn’t find a babysitter.
Ramata Sissoko Cissé was the hero of the story.
When the student found it difficult to take notes and tend to her child, the professor stepped in.

“I said, ‘Hand me the baby,’” Cissé told CNN . She then gave a three-hour lecture with the baby strapped to her back using a white lab coat.
Snuggled up close to Cissé, the baby soon fell soundly asleep.
She was even able to use the baby as a teaching aid on biology.
For instance, when a student asked how the baby could sleep so quietly, she explained that the child was relaxed with Cissé’s body temperature next to him.
After class, the student emailed the professor to thank her.

She wrote back, “You’re welcome, I’ll always be there for you,” to which the student replied, “I know.”
“Love and compassion are part of the philosophy of my classroom,” Cissé said. “I’m hoping they can spread love, take it to other people who need it,” she said.
Ready for another example that professors have a life-changing effect on people’s lives?

Meet Troy Littleton, Ph.D., a professor of biology at MIT.
He recently proved how much he profoundly cares for his students when he shared his newest lab purchase on Twitter.
It was a travel crib for his office!
He bought it for his office so that his graduate student can bring her nine-month-old little girl to work when necessary.
Since he loves kids, this ended up being a purchase for him, too.
“I get to play with her while her mom gets some work done. Win-win!! he wrote.
This is a small gesture with such a big impact since finding childcare is just one more worry for students who are also moms.
Soon, Troy became a viral hit on Twitter!
“Well, I hope you realize this will probably lead to joy, laughter and feelings of warm, fuzzy adoration between you and a baby girl,” tweeted one.
“It takes a village to raise a baby!!” added another . Many wished there were more professors like him.
“Wow we need more PIs like you. Thank you for sharing this !” tweeted this user .
Many even shared their similar heartwarming stories.
“This reminds me of my wonderful doctoral advisor. She encouraged me to bring my infant to meetings, and she would take care of her while I got work done. It meant so much!” wrote this user .
“Mine did the same! And got slightly annoyed when we found daycare. :)” added another .
After his tweet blew up, he proceeded to melt the internet’s hearts *again* when he said the sweetest thing.
“Well that little tweet blew up?!? However, I wish people were able to spot the real hero here,” he wrote . “It’s the graduate student mom, not me.”
“She’s amazing to do all she has to with her daughter and still keep up her thesis project research. Happy Mother’s Day to all – they deserve it!” he concluded.
We can only hope that more bosses and professors follow in his lead!
