Prince Harry is looking like he is VERY over being a Royal and made that super clear at his latest public appearance.
As you prolly know by now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their titles as “Senior Royals” at the beginning of this year.
They said they wanted to be able to focus on their son Archie, and on their philanthropic endeavors.
And considering how the media has treated Meghan and Harry over the last few years, I can’t say we blame them!
Now, at Harry’s latest public outing, he insisted that the event’s host, Ayesha Hazarika, call him Harry.
People seemed to be pretty understanding of the request.
At a tourism conference in Edinburgh, Scotland this Wednesday, Hazarika said: “He’s made it clear that we are all just to call him Harry, so ladies and gentlemen please give a big, warm Scottish welcome to Harry.”
The prince then walked onto the stage, hugged Hazarika and began his speech about his travel initiatives.
He’s starting the switch early.
Harry is still technically allowed to use his royal titles (Sir or His Royal Highness) for a few more weeks, but has agreed to give up the titles once he officially steps back from the family on March 31st.
Come April 1st, we’ll finally learn what Meghan and Harry’s new branding will be, and likely say goodbye to Sussex Royal for good.
It also means that the couple will be (mostly) financially independent.
And we can expect to see them spending a lot more time in North America, including Canada , where they’ve spent the last several months.
We’re wishing them both the best of luck!
