Well, no. This is just a piece of light bulb-shaped glass chilling in front of a lamp that makes it look like a lightbulb that’s glowing on its own. Gotta love the way perspective took over here.

I can picture it now: a story kind of like War of the Worlds , Godzilla , or Independence Day , but instead of giant aliens or mutants coming to destroy Earth, it’s a bookshelf. At least if it enslaved humanity, it would make us all super literate.

To be honest, it’s pretty easy to tell that this is just a landscape photo that got flipped into the portrait. But the way the people off to the distance are leaning kind of makes the ground look like it could be a rock-climbing wall. So confusing.
This is *not* what it means to soft boil an egg.
These eggshells look super squishy. Luckily, it’s just the way the shadows from each egg are hitting the next ones. I’m sure all of these eggs are still perfectly edible.

Wine glasses are so funny because the way they curve creates such strange optical illusions. Sometimes, they make something in the background look giant. Other times, they make your poor corgi’s head look teeny tiny.
Hopefully she’s right-handed.
At a glance, it looks like this woman’s left hand is a foot. Look a little closer, though, and you can actually see her hand on the dog’s chest.
I’m sure dogs wouldn’t care if we had feet for hands anyway.

How is it that soccer players always end up looking like they have extra long arms in the middle of a game? I’ve seen this at least twice now, and it’s honestly so weird.

It took a sphinx cat sitting in a turkey pan for me to realize how much the hairless creature looks like a raw bird. It’s ironic because I’m sure that cat would love a turkey right about now.
There’s a dog in this shrimp!
See, now I’m never going to be able to look at shrimp the same way again. How do I know there isn’t a tiny dog hiding among it? It’s actually kind of tragic, when you think about it.
There’s something in that mug. Or nothing.
I’m, like, 99% sure that mug is empty, and is just white on the inside. But I guess that still means there’s a 1% chance that there’s milk in there. The milk could also be 1%.
I mean, I’d probably advise against boat surfing.
Okay, but could you imagine if that boat was actually riding that wave? That would be… really dangerous, actually. That’s something that would probably be better off in a cartoon or something.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been staring at this picture for a while and all I see is a corner. But if they say it’s flat, then it’s gotta be flat. After all, who would lie on the internet?

The worst thing about eclipses is that, if you’re like me, then you’ll always miss them somehow. But you can still pretend you’ve seen one or two in your time. You just need a desk lamp and a dark room.

I bet you anything that the person reading that magazine knows exactly what she’s doing. After all, how could you not notice that face on the front cover? Creepy, and yet hilarious at the same time.

Don’t worry, that dog’s face is perfectly fine. It’s just that its head is angled away from the camera, so all we see is the ears. Still, the perspective in this picture makes it look a little nightmarish.

Black Friday is a great day to buy things for yourself, and gifts for the holidays. But don’t you feel like, sometimes, the discounts stores offer just don’t feel like much? Maybe it’s just a matter of perspective (wink wink).
The floor really *is* made of lava.
There are three possibilities here: either the basket is stuck in the floor, it melted because the floor is so hot, or it just folded in a really weird way. And while I know that the last one is the only real explanation, I’m still gonna believe the other two could be possible.

This angle is really messing me up. It looks like this guy has a dog head. It looks like the dog’s head is somehow underneath the hat, instead of just next to it. I think I need to sit down…

I guess this is just a really small cup? Either that, or this desk has a built in cup holder. Which would be super cool, but probably not all that likely.
