I once thought I had invented something new when I ran out of hamburger buns and placed a burger patty inside a tortilla and called it a “burgerito.” Let me tell you, there’s a reason you can’t find burgeritos on store shelves. It was not a good idea.
But even good ideas aren’t always the most practical or applicable to daily life, and that can mean that they don’t get much time in the spotlight. However, we feel that some of them deserve more attention.

I don’t even know what it does. I mean, it probably takes you to a random floor, but I don’t know that for sure. But yeah, I would push it to find out.
Somebody made an ice cube tray that makes ice just for water bottles.
I’m not sure if this is more effective than just freezing the water bottle, or if you’ll end up choking on an ice cube, but it’s a neat idea.
At a parking lot in Hawaii, the lines are grass instead of paint.
Some say it would be a pain to have to mow them, and worry about roots in the pavement, but I like more greenery.
If sundials weren’t horribly obsolete, I’d want one like this.

That’s a new one for me, and it actually seems like a good money-saver. You’d have to be pretty determined to waste soap there.

I takes a certain vision to create a desk and chair from cardboard boxes, not to mention effort. It might not be terribly practical, or comfortable, but it’s probably inexpensive.
Folks walking up this steep driveway have the option of taking the stairs cut into it.
Which would actually be incredibly helpful if this is in an area that sees a lot of ice and snow in the winter.
A clock that shows the time by the week instead of by the day is an odd one.

I could see a countdown timer at a red light soothing some nerves, but I could also see it being even more frustrating when it doesn’t move as fast as you think it should — or gets drivers in a “race start” mode of thinking.
