Many people around the globe continue to take social distancing seriously, and that’s great! But there’s no doubt there has been a disruption in daily life because of the new norm. Many workplaces are now requiring employees to work from home, and schools are also closed , possibly for the rest of the school year.
This means many parents are dealing with antsy children who want nothing more than to play outside with friends during this extended “spring break.”
Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19 .
Neighborhoods have found ways to occupy children and families during this time.
More recently, people have been spotted putting teddy bears in their windows for a fun activity to keep kids occupied while outside social distancing.
The trend is popping up on Twitter, as more and more users share what they’ve found.
They’re giving kids an opportunity to go on “bear hunts.”
It looks like the viral activity is based on the children’s book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by author Michael Rosen and illustrator Helen Oxenbury.
People are finding all sorts of ways to creatively display teddy bears for kids to find.
This bear is taking social distancing very seriously!
If you want to participate but don’t have any stuffed bears, don’t worry.
Place other stuffed animals in your window, or even try drawing a bear on your sidewalk with chalk.
Even though this activity is meant for kids, I’m not going to lie, I would be down to go on a friendly neighborhood bear hunt too!
As long as you keep your distance from others, you can still enjoy all the adventures that spring has to offer out there.
