I don’t know about you, but I love to dip my nacho chips in freshly made queso. Oh my gosh, isn’t it so yum? But until today, I’ve always made queso over the stovetop.
However, now that I’ve stumbled upon this TikTok hack, I’m going to try it out to see if there’s a difference in taste making it this new way.
So, this is how I’ve always made queso:
I usually sauté all the ingredients in the frying pan on the stovetop. But recently, I’ve heard that folks are making “smoked queso” on their BBQ. OMG, doesn’t that sound good or what?
Okay, so I’m going to show you exactly how you can do this, too.
I’m assuming that you already have all the ingredients you need to make delicious queso. But, you have to get an aluminum pan to put the queso on your BBQ.
The first thing you should do is to fry your favorite meat in the frying pan.
You can use chorizo that you take out of the casing. Fry it until it’s no longer raw. Then transfer it to the aluminum pan.
Now you can add all the other ingredients.
Of course, add your favorite cheeses like Monterey Jack, cheddar cheese, four-cheese Mexican blend, and so on. Then, add chopped jalapenos, onions, some velveta, and chopped tomatoes.
Place the pan on your BBQ and watch until the cheeses start to melt.
Once they do, you can stir the whole dip around. Let it melt some more and keep mixing until your desired consistency. Oh, that looks like fun!
