One thing I vow to do this year is to plant a garden in our backyard. I have to admit I’ve been slacking off for the past few years, and I haven’t gotten around to doing it.
So, I’m already looking for cool concepts to incorporate into our garden space. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this super cool and spooky idea. Take a look below.
People use all kinds of different planters to grow their flowers and vegetables.

Remember when I told you about those bras ladies are repurposing as planters? Those were fun, huh? Well, here I have another unique idea for you.
This time the concept is a little bit more spooky.

I’m surprised I haven’t thought of it myself. But get this, folks are making coffin-style planters to house their flowers and plants. OMG, isn’t that so genius? I love this idea, ha, ha!
We are about to make a raised garden this year, and maybe I should shape it like this instead?
What do you think? I think the raised garden concept can be translated easily into any kind of shape, so this should work too.
This person made a coffin-style planter for his ghost peppers.

Get it? Ghost peppers, hehe. I can’t get over how clever this is. I don’t know how my neighbors would feel about seeing coffins in our backyard, but I don’t think I care, ha, ha!
These guys made their coffin-style planter almost like a pirate ship.
I can get behind this idea, too. I think the kids will surely get a kick out of seeing it, no? They can even help you plant inside of it.
You could also do something like this to plant your succulents.

What a cool idea is this, huh? I think it would work for an outdoor garden, or you can make a small coffin-style planter for your indoor succulents. I totally dig this.
Check out this adorable idea here.
Don’t you love it too? I am planning to get some succulents, so I might actually do this. Perhaps there are coffin-style planters out there already. If not, I’m sure it isn’t that hard to make one.
I think I’ve saved the best for last.
Get a load of this amazing idea here. I think this would work not only for Halloween but all year round, ha, ha! At least that’s what I would do, but then again, I love everything spooky.
So what do you think of this coffin-style planter idea?
Isn’t this the perfect concept to make a gothic-style garden? I definitely think so. I bet there are other decorations you can add to make it even darker and brooding.
