This next gender reveal party idea was certainly unique.
Instead of cutting a cake or popping colored balloons, two women — one dressed in blue and one dressed in pink — did pole dancing. The couple embraced each other as they awaited the results.
But those never came.
After trading off turns on the pole, the video ended before revealing whether it was a boy or girl.
This has led to a lot of confusion on Reddit , and it wasn’t just about why there were pole dancers at a gender reveal party.
“So what gender was it? Or was it twins, boy/girl? I have so many questions,” one user asked on Reddit.
The answer to this was revealed in another video where the dancer in blue pops a balloon that sprayed blue confetti everywhere.
People found the whole idea of a pole dancing gender reveal pretty weird.
“There’s something… off? about seeing a bunch of half naked beautiful flexible women spinning around a pole, then fast cut to the husband tenderly beautifully kissing his wife on her cheek,” a Redditor wrote.
“Little jimmy will be so proud of this,” another joked.
Many people also applauded the idea, especially since it didn’t harm anybody. “I mean that’s better than starting a wildfire with pyrotechnic devices or killing one of your guests with a homemade cannon,” Reddit user Alice_Buttons wrote.
Plus, the dancers were super talented.
“Pole dancing is a very common hobby, the mum probably does it and wanted her friends to perform at their party,” another Redditor wrote.
The video has raised the question of why we’re still attaching pole dancing to stripping when it’s a beautiful art form.
