Have you ever seen something so stupid that you just wanted to scream ?
That’s how I feel when watching some “hacks” online. Often, videos people label hacks turn out to be videos of them doing something stupid for attention.
One user learned that the hard way when he decided to post a “hack” that helps him avoid washing dishes.
Okay, so here’s the hack!

TikTok user @dam.i.on, aka Damion Francis, apparently hates washing his dishes. Instead, he decided to post this “hack” of him wrapping his plate with cling wrap. You can probably guess what happens next.
Well, that sure is a hack.

He then proceeded to fill the plate up with what I THINK is meatloaf and rice. After he ate, he peeled the plastic off to reveal a clean dish.
As you can imagine, people had some opinions.

In response to someone telling him it’s lazy, Damion responded that the hack takes more time and effort than washing up.
I just have one question: If it takes more time and effort, WHY DO YOU DO IT, DAMION?
People also had some important logistical questions.

So, you go to the “work” (Damion’s words, not mine) of wrapping your plate in cling wrap to avoid doing dishes, but you’re using utensils on plastic that can easily rip. Make that make sense.
The big issue most people had with the hack was how wasteful it is.

This hack is just horrible for the environment. We already have enough plastic issues in this world, and hacks like this just add to them. And for what?
Damion didn’t take kindly to people pointing out the obvious.

Hey guys, if you took a viral hack seriously by a guy defending how genius it is in the comments, that’s on you, apparently. YOU’RE the dumb one for being concerned people will see the hack and start being even more wasteful.
Some people started trolling him.

I am DYING to know what the bigger picture is. I think the bigger picture is addressing the pollution big companies produce, but I don’t think that’s Damion’s bigger picture.
Now this is a galaxy brain idea.

If you’re that committed to never doing dishes, at least use something that will biodegrade, like paper. Seems like common sense to me, but what do I know?
Anyway, please don’t try that stupid hack.
Normally, this is where I’d ask you what you think of the hack, and if you’d try it. But I think we all know that trying that hack is beneath us.
