I’m no parent, but from what I understand, there’s nothing quite like seeing your baby for the very first time.
After months and months spent eagerly anticipating their arrival, agonizing over your impending parenthood, and trying to prepare yourself for something that you really can’t actually prepare for, they’re finally there, and they’re perfect.

However, sometimes its the little details within these moments that really make them memorable.
As incredible as a moment as this is, one father’s experience with seeing his newborn daughter was made all the better when that little bundle of joy actually recognized his voice and smiled at him .
Flávio Dantas, the proud new father from Brazil, recently shared this incredible experience on his Instagram page.
As Bored Panda reported, he apparently spent the months leading up to his daughter Antonella’s arrival talking to her through her mother’s womb.
And, as it turns out, she was definitely listening.
In his Instagram post, Dantas recalled the “magical” moment when his daughter was born, and he could finally see her.
“I can’t explain the feeling I felt at that moment,” he wrote in the translated caption . “Every day I talked to my daughter in her mother’s womb.”
“I always told her that I loved her.”
“I told her that Dad was there,” he continued, “and that I was going to be the best father in the world!”
“When she was born, how did she repay me? With the sweetest smile ever!”
This proud father followed up that photo of a beaming Antonella with many more, showing just how adorable his baby girl really is and expressing his love for her.
“It’s a lot of love in one photo,” he wrote in this post, adding “A love that doesn’t fit inside the chest,” in another .
He had an abundance of kind words for his new addition to the family.
“God gave me my biggest reason to raise my head, let go of sadness, and go after the world to be able to give you,” Dantas wrote beneath this touching photo .
Dantas’ original photo of his beaming daughter went viral, earning 3,796 likes from people who can’t get over the precious moment these two shared.
In fact, that post proved so popular that Dantas and his wife have made Antonella her own Instagram page, where she has nearly 6,000 followers!
This is just the kind of sweetness we need more of in the world.
