Where Miley performs, drama follows…
This time, it’s over her recent performance of classic rock hits for the NCAA men’s final four-concert.
While some loved the edgy performance (they’re calling for her to perform at next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show) not everyone was impressed.
This has led to quite the division on Twitter.
Miley Cyrus has gone through quite the musical transformation over the years.

While she began with bubbly pop for Hannah Montana , she quickly transitioned into more grown-up pop once she left the Disney franchise.
This led to several hit songs, such as “Can’t Be Tamed” and “Party in the USA.”
Years later came her “Banger” album phase with hits like “We Can’t Stop,” “Wrecking Ball,” and “Do My Thang.”
It was through the music videos and performances of these songs that we saw a different side of Miley.
Who could forget when she twerked on stage at the 2013 VMAs with Robin Thicke?
In 2020, Miley managed to pull a Taylor Swift by transitioning to an entirely new music genre: rock ‘n roll.

She released the album, “Plastic Hearts,” which resulted in the hits “Midnight Sky” and “Prisoner.”
Thanks to the music (and her mullet), she’s adopted an even edgier persona.
This is what fans saw recently when she performed at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
She sang classic rock hits to socially distanced frontline workers for the NCAA Men’s Final Four.
The game was between Baylor and Houston, with Baylor advancing to the championship game.
Miley took the stage dressed in a black vest, black arm coverings, and a pair of lace-up high-heeled vinyl boots.

She covered many iconic rock ‘n roll hits, such as Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and Blondie’s “Heart of Glass.”
Fans also got to hear some of Miley’s own hits, such as “Wrecking Ball.”

Miley was praised by many on social media for her performance, including by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
“Mamaw Ruthie said it best ” Wow Wow Wow !!!!” Excellent performance #finalfour@mileycyrus @CBSI agree …Thank you first responders for your service and sacrifice. PS nice hairdo,” he wrote on Twitter .
A lot of people agreed with Billy Ray’s compliments.
After that performance, they couldn’t wait to see her in concert again. “Can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so we can watch Miley Cyrus live on tour again,” wrote this user .
“Miley Cyrus at the Final Four…HER VOICE. HER CONTROL. HER POWER. get her to the super bowl,” added another .
Some even favored her performance more than The Weekend’s Super Bowl halftime show.
She’s gained some new fans from that performance.
“Was never a Miley Cyrus fan, but damn. Much respect after killing that performance #FinalFour,” wrote this user .
“This is a culmination of everything I love about @MileyCyrus,” added another .
But not everyone was impressed. Fans proved to be divided when some negative Tweets came rolling in.
“This is definitely no Party in the USA,” wrote this user .
They questioned her ability to cover hits from iconic artists, such as Blondie. “This sounds about as good a drunk karaoke night,” tweeted this person .
Some of the feedback to Miley’s performance got really mean.
“I honestly think you could pull a checker from your local Walmart and she could sing as well as Miley Cyrus,” tweeted this user . Yikes!
Many wondered why the concert was so long. “And how many songs is she gonna do…damn…longest halftime show ever,” wrote this user .
So far, Miley seems unbothered by the criticism.
She’s been too busy declaring her performance on social media as “MILEY MADNESS.”
She also shared some behind-the-scenes videos and photos from the event. For more, you can catch the whole concert here .
