Maisie Williams had the honor of playing Arya Stark on Game of Thrones , which must have been the role of a lifetime.
There was a lot of great Arya moments in the final season, but Williams wanted to change some things about her final moments.
Warning: Game of Thrones spoilers ahead!
Throughout the show, Arya has been through a lot.

And from that, she has raised herself up to be one of the best fighters and assassins in Westeros.
Season eight was basically Arya’s time to shine.

Seeing her finally reunite with Jon Snow was so satisfying.
We had been waiting for the Starks to be back together for a long time.
Watching her be Sansa’s close adviser was fantastic.

She fought, planned, and protected Sansa from the moment they reunited.
It was amazing to see the sisters work together so perfectly.
But most importantly, Arya killing the Night King was THE moment of the season.

Arya freaking Stark DEMOLISHED the Night King.
It was out of left field, and it was iconic. It will seriously go down in GOT history.
But there was one story that never got resolved.

Arya was told that she would shut “brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes” forever, but we never got to see her shut green eyes.
Fans thought she would complete that prophecy by killing either Cersei or Dany.

Arya made way for King’s Landing with the intent of killing Cersei but didn’t get the chance.
And Maisie actually has some thoughts on the matter.
Maisie really wanted Arya to kill Cersei, even if it meant Arya died in the process.

Maisie told EW , “Even up to the point when Cersei’s with Jaime I thought [while reading the script], ‘He’s going to whip off his face [and reveal its Arya]’ and they’re both going to die. I thought that’s what Arya’s drive has been.”
What did you think of Arya’s ending?

Personally, I liked it. I think it’s great that she is getting to explore the world.
Tell us in the comments how you wanted her story to go!
