In case you’re wondering what it’s like to date Leonardo DiCaprio, allow his current girlfriend, Camila Morrone, to explain.
The model and actress recently gave the scoop to WSJ magazine and spoiler alert: it’s not as glamorous as you’d think.

Believe it or not, there *is* a downside to dating Leonardo Dicaprio.
And no, it’s not getting to jet-set around the world with one of the dreamiest men in Hollywood.
It’s the “judgment and negativity” that comes with dating an A-Lister such as himself.
At least, that’s how his current girlfriend, 22-year-old, Camila Morrone, recently explained it.
She and Leo have been dating since January 2018 when they were first spotted together in Aspen, Colorado.
Since then, they’ve traveled all over the world together and Leo is even close to her family.
A big reason for that is because Camila’s stepfather is none other than the famous Al Pacino!
But dating Leo hasn’t been all butterflies, rainbows, and private jets.
Morrone recently opened up to WSJ Magazine about the struggles that come with dating someone in the public eye.
“More exposure leads to more judgement and negativity,” she explained.
“It’s a little bit of a bummer because you’re really trying to do good work and be nice and be a good person, and in the meantime… people wish negative things upon you,” she added.
Thankfully, Camille has developed a thick skin over the years.
“It would never take away the joy of the craft that I get to do.”
The actress, who recently starred in the independent film “Mickey and the Bear,” said that she’s also well-aware of her and Leo’s 23-year age gap.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times , she addressed their age controversy head-on.
“There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps,” she said.
“I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
This isn’t the first time she’s addressed the controversy.
When she was first linked to Leo, Camila clapped back at the haters’ comments on her Instagram.
“I just read some of the comments on my Instagram,” she said to the camera. “And, my god, people are so mean and full of anger with people they know nothing about”
At this year’s Golden Globe awards, Ricky Gervais even made a crack about Leo dating much younger women.
“Leo DiCaprio attended the premiere (of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ) and by the end, his date was too old for him,” Gervais joked.
“Even Prince Andrew is like, “Come on, mate’.”
Surprisingly, Ricky’s joke got a laugh out of the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actor, who clearly knows he prefers a *certain* kind of woman.
His impressive list of ex-girlfriends includes Naomi Campbell, Bar Refaeli, and even Blake Lively!
His fling with the “Gossip Girl” alum may have been short-lived (they dated for five months), but it was hot and heavy while it lasted.
And frankly, a little creepy, too…
“When I think about shooting the L.A. episodes, Blake was dating [DiCaprio] at the time, and she had this thing where she had a doll that she took photos of that she sent to Leo,” Gossip Girl’s executive producer Joshua Safran told “Vanity Fair.”
“Blake was way ahead of the curve. It was pre-Instagram. She was documenting her life in photographs in a way that people were not yet doing,” he said .
As for Camila, she’s sick of her relationship with Leo overshadowing her budding career as an actress.
“I think more and more now that people are seeing [my new film Mickey and the Bear ], I’m slowly getting an identity outside of that,” she said.
“I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.”
