Fox News opinion host Laura Ingraham decided to try to troll her Liberal adversaries this week and in her attempt to do so, she brought out a rather bizarre prop during filming: a cooked steak with incandescent light bulbs and plastic straws stuck in it.
Nope, I’m definitely not making this up. This is something that actually happened and that actually aired on television.
Ingraham is the host of her own opinion-based talk show on Fox called, “The Ingraham Angle.”
This week, she kicked off the segment by announcing it was time for the “Last Bite” — or, as she corrected herself, the “Last Meal.”
“It’s a meal that will trigger all the right… all the left people,” she explained. “Are you ready? Are you really prepared for this? Okay, here it is.”
As sirens sounded, the camera panned back to show the unusual plate sitting in front of Ingraham on her desk.
Resembling something more akin to a misunderstood, rebellious teenager’s art project, the plate held a single cooked steak, garnished with light bulbs and several plastic straws.
“It has everything the D*******s hate,” Ingraham said as she proudly displayed the dish. “If I could have put an SUV on this, I would have.”
If that wasn’t weird enough, the host then proceeded to try and drink from the monstrous creation.
“Can you sip a steak?” she briefly wondered aloud before giving it a shot anyway. “Mmm. Tastes good. It’s kind of the vapors of the steak.”
So yeah, she made her viewers watch her attempt to s**k a hunk of beef through a plastic straw all for a joke that really didn’t land at all, to be honest. But it made her laugh at least.

In case anyone wasn’t exactly sure what the point of the art project was, Ingrahm offered a bit of an explanation.
Gesturing at the bulbs, she said, “These are the light bulbs that Andrew Yang said are so dangerous to the planet because they burn out too often.”
During last week’s climate change town hall, the Democratic presidential hopeful was asked his opinion on the T***p administration’s reversal on energy-saving light bulb requirements.
Yang criticized the move and said incandescent bulbs are not environmentally friendly, adding that we should use bulbs that “consume less energy and need to be replaced less often.”
Beef and plastic straws were two other topics discussed at the town hall.
D*******s have been advocating for the use of paper straws, as well as cutting back on the amount of red meat that is consumed. Red meat, they argue, contributes to the production of harmful greenhouse gasses.
Unsurprisingly, people weren’t nearly as amused with Ingraham’s troll attempt as she was.
“Yet another reason to not watch Fox News,” one Twitter user wrote. “More proof it is absurd.”
Another added, “This would be a great SNL skit” which makes me wish the season 45 premiere date was a lot sooner than it is. I need Kate McKinnon lampooning Ingraham and I need it now .
