Kelly Ripa has seemingly been having a blast through the pandemic. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, she has managed to make the best of a lousy situation.
Most recently, she took to social media to laugh at her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, for hilariously wearing a “not TV appropriate” shirt, and it is just the laugh we need during these crazy times!
Despite the absolute dumpster fire of a year 2020 has been, Kelly Ripa has still been managing to live her best life.
In case you missed it, she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their children, have been quarantining in the Caribbean.
Initially, fans were upset to find out that Kelly and her family had been hiding out on a tropical island, while giving everybody the impression that they were at their home in New York City.
She and her family reportedly received orders from ABC to shelter-in-place while they were vacationing in the Caribbean, and therefore, decided to stay put.
“We had planned a trip for our family, and it was supposed to be our entire family of course,” a source revealed Kelly said.
“And we arrive and three days later, the entire world changed, really. I mean, everything shut down,” she went on.
“The government shut down; our country shut down. I hate to use the word stuck, but we were,” she added.
“We decided to stay where we were.”
And so, as far as we know, ever since, Kelly, Mark and their two adult children have been quarantining there, steering clear of coronavirus, and living in the lap of luxury!
I am definitely jealous.
Kelly, Mark, and their children seem to be having a pretty decent time out there.
And she and Ryan Seacrest have — and quite efficiently I might add — been filming Live With Kelly And Ryan remotely in the meantime.
You have to do something to pass the time!
I mean, not too long ago, Kelly gave her son a haircut on the air!
She explained in the episode that she has “cut every member of our family’s hair now during quarantine.”
“Joaquin has my hair. Everybody else in the family has [my husband] Mark [Consuelos’] hair,” Kelly said .
“It is bone straight. It is shiny. It is easy to cut. It just sort of lays the right way,” she added.
“Joaquin and I have the same head of hair which is to say it is wiry, it’s thick, it’s dense, it’s got lots of layers. “
“I think I have a future in $500 haircuts. You know how haircuts are so expensive for men now, that they’re all $500? I’m like, ‘I’m going to give you a $500 haircut”.
“You actually look like you are holding the follicles, going in for the layering and the texturing,” Ryan said, impressed by Kelly’s skills .
Anyways, all that to say, *Live with Kelly and Ryan* has been going swimmingly, despite being filmed remotely!
Unfortunately, they did recently have a mishap — a very funny one, however, that had Kelly simply dying of laughter.
Ryan ordered a new shirt online for the fourth of July broadcast. But he accidentally received the wrong size.
And had the shirt been too big for him, the situation wouldn’t have been nearly as funny.
But he received an extra-small instead.
Ultimately, he decided to bail on his planned outfit, but not before taking a hilarious photo of his wardrobe fail and posting it on social media, and briefly wearing it during the latest episode to give Kelly the full experience.
“Accidentally ordered an XS shirt…shout-out to all the buttons working overtime today,” he captioned the photo.
“That’s Mark Consuelos tight, that’s what we call that right there,” Kelly said, poking fun at her husband.
“I thought I ordered a medium or a small, it turns out they sent an XS,” Ryan explained , adding that the shirt was “not TV appropriate.”
“Shoutout to the buttons ,” Kelly added.
That is a lot of laughing emojis. So, by every indication, Kelly was seriously having a laugh at Ryan and his tiny shirt, as am I TBH.
Even mark chimed in, writing: “Smmmedium!”
This lead to a ton of hilarious fan comments , such as: “Did you order that from Babies R Us?,” and “I laughed out loud when I saw u in this shirt”.
What do you think of Ryan Seacrest’s Baby Gap shirt? Is he pulling it off, or what?!
This has got to be one of my favorite Kelly and Ryan moments, hands down.
