Some days, everyone could use a pick me up. From everyday life stresses to our kids to our husbands being the worst—we need a good laugh. Work is a mess, the world is falling apart, and I can barely afford to gas up my car. If there’s any time to laugh at bad jokes, the time is now.
I love them. Sometimes.
Like my own mother, I love to count down the seconds and minutes until my kids have to go to bed so I can get some peace and quiet and also be able to watch shows with bad words in them. But, then I stare at the baby monitor like my life depends on it. So, really, who is the crazy person? Me. I am.
Jokes on them.
The joke is clearly on the people who think I am going to answer the phone for “private” or “spam likely.” I don’t answer the phone when I actually know the person who is calling. Instead, I roll my eyes and pretend I didn’t see the phone ring, even though I wear an Apple Watch everywhere I go.
Quit calling me out.
Yes, maybe I need to use the same password I used the last time or two times ago because my memory can only hold so many passwords in my brain at once. Quit calling me out for being forgetful, internet. It’s not appreciated.
I need friends…nope I changed my mind.
Keeping your circle small means less drama and fewer problems. But, when you only have a babysitter on friday and your only friends have plans with their husbands or their kids—you need to add one into the rotation.
