Honestly, there is nothing I would rather spend the next few minutes of my life doing, than watching a video of Jennifer Lopez teaching Shakira her booty-shaking technique, and if you don’t feel the same way, I don’t believe you.

My 20-something body could never even come close to executing that type of atheleticism.
Ergo, I have nothing but respect for these two.
I mean, think about it this way: Jennifer Lopez is half a century old — old enough to be somebody’s grandmother, and she is better looking, in better shape, and more limber than anyone I have ever seen.
And don’t even get me started on Shakira. Her hips don’t lie, but her skin tells me she’s 25.
I don’t know what to believe anymore.
ANYWAYS, I am obviously very passionate about my admiration for these two women. But I digress.
In the spirit of reminiscing on the good old days when we were allowed to go outside and gather in large groups, J-Lo recently shared some BTS clips from her’s and Shakira’s Super Bowl halftime show rehearsal.
“I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months since the #SuperBowlLIV #Halftime Show! ✨ ✨ So much has happened since then,” she captioned the post.
“But I wanted to share a fun peek behind the scenes at our first rehearsal with the dancers and @Shakira❤️.”
Speaking on behalf of all of us who are terribly uncoordinated and could absolutely never dance like this in a million years, these clips were captivating.
It’s crazy to see how it all came together.
But most importantly, in the fifth clip, Jennifer is teaching Shakira how to shake her butt, and it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on.
She not only shared her technique with Shakira, but now, with the rest of us too.
I feel honored.
“I do it with my knees. I shake my knees,” she said.
“You shake your knees, the butt shakes too,” she explained.
Mind = blown.
I will be trying this at home.
“My mother taught me that when I was four,” she added.
I don’t really know what to think about that. But it doesn’t even matter because it has led J-Lo to become one of the most iconic performers of all time.
J-Lo just gave us all the cheat code without even realizing it.
Obviously, there can only be one Jennifer Lopez. But if we can all master this technique, sky is the limit.
Fans are loving J-Lo’s booty-shaking tutorial.
Not enough people are talking about how quickly Shakira picked it up. She nailed it after like, one try. That’s impressive.
Other fans chimed in, praising their teamwork and begging for them to take the stage together again someday!
Literally nothing would make me happier than to see another collaborative performance by Shakira and J-Lo.
This clip is probably way more iconic than Jennifer realizes — or even intended it to be.
She inadvertently passed on such important butt-shaking wisdom to Shakira and the entire world.
