What’s Legally Blonde without the bend and snap? Who would be there for us to express exactly how it feels when we want a hot dog real bad ?
There’s simply no Legally Blonde without Jennifer Coolidge , which makes it all the more surprising that she recently revealed she hasn’t heard a thing about the upcoming third installment in the franchise yet.

And of course, when you remember how great Jennifer Coolidge is, you remember Legally Blonde .
Jennifer Coolidge as Paulette in ‘Legally Blonde’ was game-changing.
Paulette was the perfect choice of character to befriend Elle Woods in the first movie — she was sweet, funny, charming, enthusiastic, and just needed a little hit of Woods magic to fully realize her potential.
And she’s also endlessly quotable, but you knew that already.
So when it was announced that ‘Legally Blonde 3’ was officially coming, it seemed to be a given that Paulette would return.
It almost sounded too good to be true — the return of Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, being written by The Mindy Project and The Office ‘s Mindy Kaling ? What’s not to love about that?
Well, just the fact that nobody’s called Jennifer Coolidge about it yet.
“I know nothing,” Jennifer revealed when she was asked about the project.
“I mean I don’t know if they wanted to surprise me or something, ’cause I hear about it a lot,” she joked .
Excuse me ? They haven’t even spoken to Paulette yet?!
Jennifer said she’s down for reprising her role but hasn’t been reached out to yet.
“I heard that Mindy has this amazing version of our next round, but I haven’t seen it. I don’t have the call yet,” Jennifer went on, but added that she was excited: “Of course. Of course. Legally Blonde ? Why Not? Reese and Mindy!”
Don’t be too worried — Mindy previously spoke about how she’d already written Jennifer in.
“[She] is just someone who all writers would kill to write for,” Mindy said back in April. “She is so funny. She elevates any material and she is just like… She can just do a glance, it is just hilarious. And so as a writer, it’s the jackpot.”
“Especially in that character.”
“Paulette is so funny and their dynamic is so funny. It’s been really great. She [has] a very juicy story in this one. That’s all I can say, and by the way, Elle has a very juicy story,” Mindy teased.
“The two of them, seeing what they look like now after 20 years, is really fun.”
