There’s nothing quite like when your favorite worlds collide. When two musicians you love release music together, or when your favorite shows have a crossover episode, or when an actor you love gets cast in a project you love — there’s pretty much nothing better than that feeling!
Lots of fans of The Witcher are experiencing that feeling lately, and I’m definitely one of them.
Pretty much everyone loved *The Witcher* on Netflix.
The show, starring Henry Cavil as Geralt of Rivia, was so popular that it became Netflix’s highest-rated original series, beating out even Stranger Things for the title.
It’s popularity obviously showed that fans were ready for more in this universe.
The story will take place “1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be,” according to Netflix on Twitter .
The good news isn’t finished yet.
Rumors began swirling that Jason Momoa was being considered for the lead in the spinoff.
The website Production Weekly began reporting that Jason Momoa had been considered for the lead role in the series, although it was unclear whether he’d auditioned, been made an offer, or had any interest in the part.
Jason has responded to the rumors on his Instagram account with a pretty amazing picture.
Jason shared this picture of himself in full Witcher gear next to Henry Cavil on his Instagram with the caption “What’s up homie?”
While that’s not a clear confirmation, it’s certainly not a denial, and I’m incredibly excited about this news! Are you looking forward to the prequel? Let us know in the comments!
