Judi Dench may be 85, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t outsmart someone younger than her!
Like many celebs, the James Bond alum has joined the popular social media app, TikTok.
Well, sorta.
Her grandson, Sam Williams, has featured her on his account. In addition to making dancing videos, Sam has tried to outsmart his grandma with his jokes.
Only problem is, Judi is as sharp as they come!
This is Judi Dench.
You might know her as “M” from the James Bond franchise, as she played the Head of Secret Intelligence Service from 1995 to 2012.
But of course, that’s only scratching the surface of what she’s done.
That’s eight *James Bond* movies, y’all.
This means that she’s starred in the films more than any other actor who played 007.
Other notable films of hers include Mrs. Brown , Philomena , and Shakespeare In Love . And she’s major in the theater world.
She might want you to forget this, but she was also part of the movie *Cats* that came out in 2019.
Her hand even caused a lot of controversy since the film was rushed to theatres before the visual effects team got to CGI her hand (and wedding ring).
Another thing you might — or might not — know about Judi Dench is that she has a grandson who has lots of followers on the app TikTok.
His name is Sam Williams and, yes, he does look a bit like Ed Sheeran ( celeb lookalikes on the app really isn’t anything new).
One of Sam’s favorite things to do on the app is make videos with his famous grandma.
Since the family is currently quarantined away from each other due to the coronavirus, this means that they have been getting creative to make videos.
That’s something we’re all going through.
Here she is, proving that she’s still got the moves at 85! Which is saying something since I’m in my 20s and it feels like my back doesn’t work at all.
She’s not the only celeb who has danced on TikTok with their relatives.
Friends star, Courteney Cox, also made a dancing video with her 15-year-old daughter, Coco.
Sam also likes to post TikTok videos of him telling jokes to his grandma.
But here’s the hilarious thing: since she’s, you know, Judi Dench (aka amazing), she keeps ruining her grandson’s jokes!
Which really is completely in her right considering her royal status.
The first joke Sam tried to get Judi with was this: “How do you sell a pig to a deaf farmer?”
After thinking for a moment, she raised her voice loudly — enough for a deaf farmer to hear — and said, “YOU WANT TO BUY A PIG?”
It’s actually hilarious.
The next joke was “why did the lobster blush?”
If you thought she wouldn’t have an answer for this, you are very wrong.
Judi thought for a moment and then very confidently said, “because the sea weed.”
This caused Sam to visibly get frustrated as he inhaled a deep breath and then let out a long sigh.
“I don’t know why I bother!” he said, exasperated, before running out of the room.
“I DON’T KNOW WHY I BOTHER,” he said again.
In another video, Sam seemed confident that he wasn’t about to be bested by Judi again.
“She’s not going to get me again, she really isn’t,” he said.
But of course, he was very wrong about it. You can’t best Judi Dench people!
Then came the joke: “Ma, what’s big, green, fuzzy, and, if it fell out of the tree, it would kill you?”
At first, it seemed like Judi wouldn’t get the right answer.
“Um,” she began, taking a moment to look out the window as she thought.
Could this be the moment?
But, of course, she got it: “a pool table,” she answered.
I told you, you cannot defeat her! She’s too powerful.
After letting out yet another long, frustrated sigh, he asked the next question: “Why was six afraid of seven?”
After getting the question right, yet again, Sam experienced another freak out.
“She’s done it again. I don’t believe it,” he said, as he ran out of the room again.
Poor kid is going through a serious existential crisis.
After several more videos, Sam FINALLY outsmarted Judi.
This victory came when he asked her: “What do you call a boomerang that never comes back to you?”
Although Judi’s answer was pretty good (“lost”), it was actually “a stick.”
