When it comes to discussing s*x, don’t expect Ian Somerhalder to hold anything back.
The Vampire Diaries alum just revealed that he lost his virginity at a young age.
Thirteen, to be exact.
Ian Somerhalder doesn’t regret losing his virginity at 13 one bit.
During a revealing new interview with Andy Cohen, the Vampire Diaries alum got incredibly candid about the birds and the bees.
But not everyone is down with him being so open — especially those on Twitter.
BTW, if you don’t know who Ian Somerhalder is, the word “vampire” should ring a bell.
It’s certainly a huge theme in his life, since he has played a vampire, married Twilight star Nikki Reed, and he even has a new vampire show.
His role as vampire Damon Salvatore on the hit CW show, “The Vampire Diaries” is what started it all.
After splitting up from his Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev, he began dating and eventually married fellow vampire Nikki Reed.
Then, to top it all off, he even has a new show on Netflix called “V Wars,” which is, of course, vampire-themed.
Only this time, he doesn’t play a vampire; he plays a human called Dr. Luther Swann.
Anyway, Ian recently appeared on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy” with Andy Cohen to discuss several things, including an alternate ending to “The Vampire Diaries.”
Eventually, though, the conversation shifted to the actor’s sexual history after Andy asked Ian what age he was when he lost his virginity.
“Uhh…13,” the 40-year-old actor replied, surprising Andy and listeners at home.
“When you’re 13 and you’re a boy … boys are pretty on it,” he explained.
Later, he revealed that the girl he lost it to was technically an older woman, since she was 16.
But Ian didn’t stop there. He went on to get incredibly candid about all things TMI.
Like how he got a unique sexual education by spying on his “Casanova” of an older brother.
“He used to have girls in his bedroom all the time and what I did was, I went into the bottom corner of his window and I pinched the Venetian blinds,” he explained.
“I pinched the blinds down so I’d have a clear view,” Somerhalder revealed. “I’d go outside and I’d watch, and I learned a lot.”
Pretty soon, Twitter had a serious issue with some of the controversial things Ian said.
His comments gave them pause.
People are even saying that Nina was lucky to get away.
When the couple split up in 2013, it was believed to be because Ian, who is 10 years older, wanted to settle down and get married and she didn’t.
Some even brought up the controversial time he admitted to throwing out his wife’s birth control.
People were so upset with his comments back then that he was forced to publically apologize .
Even wife Nikki came to his defence.
It’s a major controversy that people clearly haven’t forgotten about.
To be fair, Ian did have some positive stuff to say in the interview.
Like when he and Andy segued into how it’s scary being a parent at a time where so many parents have a double standard when it comes to boys and girls dating.
With this, he stressed the importance of seeing girls and guys as equals — no matter the age.
“It so vastly unfair,” said the actor who has his two-year-old daughter Bodhi with his wife.
“All my friends who are guys who have sons are like, ‘Yeah, you’re going to get a date, yeah,’ while all the dads with daughters are like, ‘I will kill these little [expletive].”

Ian isn’t the only celebrity who’s gone on record about losing their virginity at a young age.
When speaking to P*****y in 2009, Lil Wayne revealed that he was only 11 years old when he lost his virginity to a 13-year-old friend of his.
Khloé Kardashian said that she lost hers at the age of 14.
“I was 14 years old and dating an 18-year-old boy, which now I look back and think it’s disgusting, but then I thought I was really cool,” she said , later going on to explain that she felt pressured into having s*x with him and it was “not a good situation.”
“I didn’t have s*x for the next three years, just because I didn’t feel comfortable with my body,” she continued.
“I didn’t feel like I knew myself. And then being out of that environment, I knew I did the wrong thing and I was kind of forced to have s*x.”
Ansel Elgort revealed that he was 14 for his first time.
“I was 14. I had no clue what I was doing, and neither did the girl…” he said , and then added, “I didn’t even make the lighting good.”
Robin Thicke also revealed he was 13 when he’d lost his virginity, the same as Ian.
When Robin was asked if he would change anything about the situation, his response was short and sweet: “Make it last longer than 30 seconds.”
