1) WHAT TF is a holistic dentist and 2) what business do they have sharing divorce advice?!

IDK, but I’m personally super curious to find out. But first, let’s learn what a holistic dentist actually is!

Apparently, holistic dentistry is *very hard* to define. Go figure!

According to the Tulsa Dental Care website , Holistic dentistry is an “approach to dentistry that focuses on the use of non-toxic restorative materials, and recognizes that toxins and infections in the mouth can impact a person’s overall health.”

Well, something that is missing from the definition is dating advice!

On her Goop podcast, Gwyneth sat down with holistic dentist Sherry Sami, a dual specialist in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.

The sit down was to “help us gain a deeper understanding of holistic dentistry and the different elements that can provide healing.”

Talking about how holistic dentistry could help her kids heal, Gwyneth shared : “That’s what I think they mean in the Bible when they talk about the sins of the father.”

“You know, it’s really our weaknesses that we pass down generation to generation without understanding that without a shift in consciousness and without bringing awareness and healing our own stuff,” she continued.

“Like we just unconsciously pass our [expletive] down to our kids.”

“I remember the first time I came to see you and I brought Apple and Moses, gosh it was a long time ago,” Gwyneth said of her first visit with Sherry.

“I remember going to talk to you in your office and sitting down with you and you were asking me all these questions about, you know, my emotional trauma and my marriage, which was going through a really hard time, and then we all know how that ended.”

“I thought, Why is this amazing lovely dentist orthodontist asking me about my childhood trauma and what’s going on in my marriage?”

Okay honestly, I love that!

It’s clear this holistic dentist has a way of HEALING that goes far beyond our teeth. WHERE CAN I SIGN UP?!

In an awesome initiative, Netflix has announced a five million dollar donation to a variety of Black-owned businesses and creators.

These organizations include Ghetto Film School, Black Public Media and Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp.

Netflix has announced an initial three million dollar donation, with the remaining two million to come.

“Tackling racism and injustice in meaningful ways means creating long-term opportunities for the Black community,” Netflix chairman and CEO Reed Hastings said in a statement.

“The main role we play is through our funding of and member viewing of important content like When They See Us. “

“As an additional step, today we’re committing $5 million to nonprofits dedicated to creating direct opportunities for Black creators, Black youth and Black-owned businesses.”

On the creator front, Netflix is donating $1.5 million in total to Ghetto Film School, Film Independent’s Project Involve, Firelight Media and Black Public Media.

Netflix also is giving $1 million grants to three youth-oriented organizations: Know Your Rights Camp, the Posse Foundation and Black Girls Code.

In addition to these donations, Netflix said they’re donating $500,000 to Black-owned businesses “in our own backyard of Los Angeles.”

That business is the Vermont Slauson Economic Development (VSEDC), a nonprofit group that provides resources to communities in South Los Angeles, which have been historically underserved by banks.

Fans of Kevin Bacon know the actor has BEEN woke.

So when he sat down virtually with Jimmy Fallon on his late night talk show, Kevin expressed his belief that old white dudes like himself need to just SHUT UP AND LISTEN!

“For an old guy like me, I was born in 1958, and to witness the passion of the young people across the world for social justice, it leaves me speechless, which is probably a good idea, because I think it’s a good time for old white guys like me to just shut up and listen,” he said.

“So speechless is probably a good choice.”

“I mean, I really have been trying to take this as a time to first admit that I don’t have a full understanding of the life experience of people that are different than me.

“And I will never have a full understanding of that,” the 61-year-old continued.

“I’ll tell you Jimmy, I’m one of those people, like, when I was a kid I thought I knew everything. I thought I knew everything about acting, everything about music, everything about politics, everything about people,” he continued.

“I thought I could always understand what it was like to be other people. I had a lot of compassion. And basically I just thought I knew it all. I was a know-it-all. And the older I’ve gotten the more I realized how much there is still to learn.”

He explained that this moment in history “has been the perfect example of a good time for me to stop and learn and listen and read and just try to gain some kind of deeper understanding… Here’s the thing: I’ll never understand it ’cause when I walk out of the house I’m white. And to not have that experience and privilege is something that I want to just kind of educate myself on.”

The 38-year-old is an unproblematic fav that deserves a monument in honor of her and I’m tbh shocked (!!!) and upset to hear one doesn’t exist already!

A petition to remove Confederate status in Louisiana and replace them with Britney Spears monuments have gained over 26,000 signatures!!!!!!!!

“Before becoming one of the world’s most important and influential pop legends, Britney Spears was living life in a small southern town by the name of Kentwood, Louisiana,” the petition addressed to Gov. John Edwards and other lawmakers, begins.

“Not only has Britney proven her talent, but she’s proven her strength of character by not only overcoming highly publicized mental breakdown, but by continuously working towards improving herself. She’s an inspiration to millions.”

The petition goes on to list some of Britney’s many achievements and philanthropic donations over her nearly three decade long career.

“She’s already earned her star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and now it’s time for her home state to honor her with the tribute that she deserves.”

To me, the choice is obvious.. GIVE BRITNEY HER MONUMENT!
