It’s no secret that the world is full of creeps and weirdos who are prone to behaving very inappropriately towards strangers. However, the world is also full of heroes who step in to help.
One TikTok user recorded his actions when he saw a girl being harassed in a store, showing the perfect way to help in any situation like this.

TikTok user @thebrandonrobert not only showed his character, but set a great example by intervening in a scary situation.
In a video that now has 16 million likes, the first on-screen caption reads, “There is a weird man making this girl uncomfortable in the store. [I’m] going to pretend I know her.”
He does just that, walking up to her and greeting her with a tone of familiarity.
The unseen girl immediately clues in and plays along, which is detailed by on-screen text once again. It’s easy to hear the relief in her voice.
Brandon does acknowledge the man, but when the girl makes an uneasy noise in return, he makes up a fake story to get them both out of there.
He says his aunt is there, which the girl builds upon by asking if it’s his Aunt Claire. He then asks if she wants to come with him and quickly gets her out of the situation.
Once they’ve put some distance between them and the strange man, he asks if she’s okay.
She says yes, but the other man had been asking if she wanted to come with him back to his place, meaning Brandon arrived at just the right time.
The comments were praising him for his actions, grateful that he stepped in when he did.
Some people related to the situation at hand, with one person commenting, “MEN!!!!!! TKE NOTES!!!! I’ve had this happen. [Saved] me from a situation that was going very very wrong. Great job!”
Others remarked how unfortunate the circumstances were.

Using the term “Aunt Claire” could let others in these types of situations know that you’re concerned and are trying to help.
While it is tragic that women are put in unsafe situations like this, knowing there are others wanting to help is comforting.
