ICYMI, Gigi Hadid and her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Zayn Malik, are expecting their first child together.
(Screaming internally).
And with pregnancy often comes swollen body-parts, including lips. So, for Fashion Week, Gigi opened up in about being pregnant and shut down all plastic surgery rumors once and for all — claiming that she has never “injected anything” into her face.
If you’ve laid eyes on the Internet over the last few weeks — which, let’s face it, you did. It’s not like you had anything better to do — then you probably got the memo that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are having a baby!
During these hard times, it was nice to get a little bit of positive news ! (Pun intended).
During a recent Instagram live interview with Maybelline makeup artist Erin Parsons in honor of Fashion Week, Gigi opened up about finding out she was pregnant and all of the plastic surgery rumors that have seemed to follow.
In the past, Gigi’s mom, Yolanda, has advocated for natural beauty and has assured fans that she has always encouraged her daughters to steer clear of fillers.
“Fifty Five and smiling from the inside out…. Finally back to the original 1964,” Yolanda wrote on Instagram last year, explaining that she had reversed all of the plastic surgery procedures she had done over the years.
“Living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, botox, extensions”.
“And all the [expletive] I thought I needed in order to keep up with what society conditioned me to believe,” she continued.
“What a sexy woman should look like until the toxicity of it all almost killed me “.
“Your health is your wealth so please make educated decisions, research the partial information you’re given by our broken system before putting anything foreign in your body,” she continued.
“It took me many years of undoing some bad choices I made for myself before I finally found the freedom to sustainable internal beauty and acceptance of what is the best version of myself by nobody’s standards but my own “.
“It’s on us to learn to love our selves and celebrate our unique, one of a kind beauty at all ages as we move through this journey called ‘life'”.
“Beauty has no meaning without your health,” she concluded .

Her post sparked some controversy from fans who were quick to argue that Gigi and Bella look like they have fillers, to which Yolanda replied:
“None of my children have ever done fillers or Botox or put anything foreign in their bodies, they know better after seeing what I went through .”
But since announcing her pregnancy, Gigi has needed to reiterate that she has never dabbled in cosmetic procedures such as fillers and plastic surgery.
“It’s so funny, the things you see online. People think that I shape my brows, like I shape my brows really arched,” Gigi told Erin.
“If you look at baby pictures of me, I’ve had these crazy arched brows since I was born,” she added.
“Also that people think I do fillers on my face and that’s why my face is round—I’ve had this since I was born .”
She explained that being pregnant has obviously changed the look of her face a bit, which has led some people to believe that she has been using fillers.
“Especially fashion month, when I was already, like, a few months preggo, you know,” she said .
Erin asked Gigi if she has noticed any dramatic changes to her face since being pregnant.
“Well, I think I, like, have the cheeks already, so it’s like there’s not a lot to, like, fill in….Don’t worry,” Gigi replied .
“I’m happy with the natural process of the world,” she added.
After demonstrating on-camera how she typically fills in her eyebrows using makeup, she explained that she has never felt the need to try injections.
She bluntly stated that she has “never injected anything” into her face.
“[My face] slimmed down for sure [since I was 17], but also, it’s like, I think that people are, like, so fast to do permanent things to their face,” she said .
“When really, like anything—I’ve loved being like, I accept myself how it is,” she added.
She clarified that just because she has accepted the way she looks naturally, doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have insecurities about herself. Nothing that a little bit of makeup can’t fix, however !
“That doesn’t mean I don’t have insecurities sometimes,” she said. “But like, for special occasions, you can sculpt your nose a little bit or do whatever with makeup.”
