Are you sick and tired of the same old Christmas traditions? I hear you, and I am, too.
Instead of that tired gingerbread house, why not opt for making a pretzel log cabin? I have to admit, I like the sound of that, ha, ha! Let’s get right down to it, shall we?

If you’ve ever made a gingerbread house, this is a similar idea.
But instead of making gingerbread, you will be using graham crackers. Doesn’t that sound so much easier? I think so. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I do love gingerbread too.
Having said that, it’s great to switch things up and make something different.
That way, you can make this holiday a lot more unique. And boy, is this holiday ever unique. Am I right? But anyway, this is unique in a good way, at least.
Okay, first things first. You’re going to need a few ingredients, so let’s get to them here.
For the log cabin, you will need 12 graham crackers. You’ll also need some pastry bags, decorating tips, and some cardboard for the base.
You’ll also need a bag of pecan halves and three bags of pretzel rods (seven and a half inches long).
Then you’ll need spice jars, a serrated knife, a ruler, wafers, cocoa, red candies, chocolate chip cookies, and sugar ice cream cones.
For the icing, you will need 8 cups confectioners’ sugar, 6 tablespoons of meringue powder, and 3/4-1 cup of warm water.
You will also need some green liquid or paste food coloring. I know this might seem like a lot, but it will be worth it.
Once you have made the icing comes the best part, and that’s assembling the log cabin.
It should be a lot of fun and feel free to recruit your family to help you with it. After all, this should be a team effort.
