We’ve all heard that age is just a number and that you’re only as old as you feel. Yadda, yadda…
Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? Sometimes you have to see it to believe it! That’s why we rounded some of the most badass older folks on the internet to help show you that life is just getting started after 65!
Getting older doesn’t mean stopping the things you love.

If anything, the party’s just getting started. While with power comes responsibility a la Spider-Man , with age comes wisdom.
It also means caring less and less caring about what others think. Doesn’t that sound so free?
Lily Bullen, a 102-year-old great-grandmother from Worcestershire, England, knows all about this.

Instead of living a stuffy life and doing the things society thinks older people should do, like knitting and mall walking, Bullen lives life on her own terms.
She even credits three unlikely things for making life so long.

And no, it’s not heart medication, Wednesday night bingo, or a trip to the casino slots. In an interview with The Mirror , she said that it’s Mexican liquor, Domino’s pizza, and Greggs sausage rolls.
Oh, yes! A woman after our own heart! She often combines the three items on her wild nights.

Bullen’s 40-year-old granddaughter Holly West told The Mirror that her grandmother still lives like a teenager.
“She had a surprise birthday party for her 100th birthday, where she did a tequila shot, she also did a Jägerbomb and tequila shot at our wedding in 2013,” she said.

When asked why she loves alcohol and pizza so much, Bullen shared that “tomorrow is never promised.”
Truer words haven’t been spoken!
Another 90+ person who is defying age for us all is Georgina Harwood .
She was 100 when she became an internet sensation for skydiving on her birthday. It marked the third time for her, as she first went when she was 92.
Only two days after that adrenaline rush, she tried her hand at diving with sharks next.

She braved the cold water and any fears she had to swim in a cage with the water beasts all around her. “It’s been the experience of a lifetime,” she said afterward.
Older men crush their bucket lists as well.
Charles Eugster of London was 95 when he absolutely obliterated the 95-and-over world indoor record for the 200m dash. He ran faster and longer than some 20-somethings can!
All of this is to prove that just because you are 65 or over, life doesn’t automatically stop.
You’re likely retired at this point which, really, means that life is just getting started.
You can go on that trip around the world you’ve been dreaming about since you were 20.
There’s no boss to decline your time off. And years of street smarts will prevent you from being taken advantage of.

So go ahead and live the life you want to live. Be the Lily, Charles, or Georgina. Be the you that you’ve always wanted to be. Nothing is stopping you.
