As coronavirus continues to change the way we’re all living — forcing everyone to stay home as much as possible and take extra safety precautions when going out in public, it’s safe to say that this is a very strange time to be alive!
But Kelly Ripa is trying to make the most of it by quarantining somewhere tropical and fans are not happy about it.

As it turns out, Kelly Ripa has been quarantining in the Caribbean this entire time, and fans are not impressed…
She may have not forwardly lied to her fans, but she did give them the impression that she had been quarantining at her home in New York City, when in fact, she has been staying on a beautiful, tropical island.
There is, of course, nothing wrong with *where* a person chooses to quarantine themselves during a pandemic. But fans seem to be upset that she lied about it.
However, this isn’t the first time that Kelly has been in hot water with fans in regard to the current pandemic.
Despite the severity of COVID-19, initially, Kelly did not seem to be taking it too seriously.
Back in March, just as the global lockdown was beginning, she uploaded a video of herself at her dermatologist’s office, receiving Botox .
“Hi everyone. We’re going to talk about a serious medical problem,” Kelly’s dermatologist says at the beginning of the clip.
“Yes, there’s a very serious medical problem going around right now. What is it?” Kelly asked .
“It’s Botox deficiency,” Dr. Anolik said. “Acute!,” Kelly added.
“A lot of side effects. Lines, wrinkles,” the doctor explains, mocking the side effects of coronavirus. So yeah, a joke in poor taste.
Kelly then begins to scrunch up her face, revealing some of her lines .
“In this time we can notice that there’s been a lot of worrying, you can see it is written all over my face,” she went on.
“But Dr. Anolik decided to be brave today and come into work to treat my acute Botox deficiency syndrome .”
After receiving her injections, Kelly says: “What do you think? Did I survive?”
“Is there any Botox left for anyone else, doctor?,” she jokes .
Yikes. Kelly, sis, WYD? Hundreds of thousands of people have died from this virus, and fans thought that these two were being aggressively insensitive about that.
Anyway, Kelly has managed to disappoint her fans yet again.
Kelly and her family reportedly received orders from ABC to shelter-in-place while they were vacationing in the Caribbean, and therefore, decided to stay put.
“We had planned a trip for our family, and it was supposed to be our entire family of course,” a source revealed Kelly said.
“And we arrive and three days later, the entire world changed, really. I mean, everything shut down,” she went on .
“The government shut down; our country shut down. I hate to use the word stuck, but we were,” she added.
“We decided to stay where we were .”
Every since, Kelly, her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their two adult children have been quarantining there.
Unfortunately, fans have had quite a bit to say about Kelly’s quarantine situation on Twitter ever since this news surfaced.
This fan explained that while New York City has faced a devastating blow due to coronavirus, Kelly has probably been living her best life on a beautiful island.
Another person pointed out that by leading her fans to believe she had been in New York City this whole time, she had people feeling overly concerned for her safety, when in actuality, she was in a much safer place.
Instead of worrying her fans, she probably could have given them some peace of mind by letting them know where she really was.
Other fans simply thought that it was shady of Kelly not to be upfront when it would have been so easy for her to tell her followers where she’s been all these weeks.
I guess technically it’s nobody’s business. But it is understandable that her fans feel misled.
Mainly, people aren’t all that concerned with the fact that Kelly and her family are staying in the Caribbean. They’re just disappointed that she let everyone believe she has been at home.
This person admitted that they feel deceived by Kelly over this.
