Have you ever taken a family photo to send to relatives for Christmas? I have to admit that I haven’t done so yet, but I’m thinking of doing it this year.
I’m still on the fence about whether it should be a serious photo or a humorous one. I should, however, take a note from this couple who creates hilarious Christmas card photos every year with their kids.
Mike and Danielle have a wicked sense of humor. It’s quite apparent when you look at their yearly Christmas card photos.
Every year since 2013 they have created funny Christmas cards that they send out to their closest friends and family.
It all started when Danielle was pregnant with their first baby and let’s just say — it spiraled from there, hee, hee.
The idea was to create a card that corresponds with a Christmas song. This one is titled “Our Finest Gifts We Bring, Pa Rum B*m B*m B*m.” Ha, ha!
This one entitled “Silent Night” was taken in 2005 when Danielle was pregnant with their second child.
But don’t worry, the duct tape on the baby’s mouth was added in later digitally. A lot of other effects were added using Photoshop.
The family uses a tripod to capture two or three different photos.
Then they add those special little touches later in the editing process. After all, it can’t be easy to do this with kids and pets running around. Am I right?
This couple enjoys coming up with a different theme every year.
This one they captured in 2017 was entitled “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Ha, ha! What do you think? I think it’s pretty creative, huh? I love how they captured the holiday spirit with this one.
Oh my goodness, what in the heck is going on here?
It looks to me like everyone is ready for some “Mele Kalikimaka.” This family sure knows how to have fun. They’re cracking me up with these funny pictures.
Let’s rock ‘n roll all night!
If this picture is any indication, it’s going to be pretty hard to put these kids down for a good night’s sleep, ha, ha! They’re going to want to party with their folks until the wee hours.
Here’s their 2020 Christmas card.
I think it’s pretty fitting to the current situation. Don’t you agree? As it turns out, this couple’s friends and family look forward to their creative Christmas cards every year and I can definitely see why.
Now not only their family can enjoy these creative pictures, but we all get to as well.
And people online have been going crazy for these shots. They’ve been commenting how much they love them, and I completely agree with them.
Some people even wished that Danielle and Mike could come over to their house next Christmas to help them stage their own funny photos.
I wouldn’t mind that at all, ha, ha! I think it would be loads of fun. What do you think, huh?
Don’t these folks seem like they would be a lot of fun to hang out with?
I already can’t wait to see what they come up with next year. Can we speed this up so we can get a preview of the 2021 edition?
Perhaps this family has given us some much-needed inspiration.
I wouldn’t be surprised if more ideas like these start popping up next year, especially since everybody has been cooped up at home. Let’s get those cameras out and start rolling, everyone.
What would you come up with if you had the chance?
I want to hear all your creative ideas. Why don’t we start brainstorming here, so we have some content ready come next Christmas season? What do you think? Isn’t that a great idea?
What do you think of this fun family?
Would you get a kick out of receiving a Christmas card like this? I wish I had the time and energy to do a photoshoot like this. That would be a big surprise for my family.
