Well, well, well.
This is awfully convenient, isn’t it? You think they would’ve put this scene in the show, you know, if they actually gave a darn.
Which we all know they didn’t.
Sorry to open an old wound, ‘Game Of Thrones’ fans…

But we need to talk about the final season of your beloved show again.
I know, I know, it hurts to think about, but try and keep it together, alright?
Okay, let’s move on.
Let’s have a chat about Daenerys Targaryen’s character arc.

And how, seemingly out of nowhere, she went all Mad Queen and killed everyone in King’s Landing.
In the actual show, this popped up randomly, but recently, the scripts for season 8 have been coming out.
And one script for the episode “The Bells” (the one where she destroys King’s Landing) kind of explains why she did it.

Alright, so apparently, in the script she’s flying around on Drogon, and then gets a glimpse of the throne room.
The throne room her ancestors built.
While looking down upon it, she sees the Lannister sigil.
And she just goes nuts.

Apparently, the script describes the sigil as a “symbol of everything that has been taken from her” and it’s for that reason that she loses her marbles.
Eh… not great, but it’s better than nothing.
