Cassie showed up in court on Tuesday and talked about some really disturbing stuff that happened when she was with Diddy.
Diddy “Sean Combs” got arrested last year. The charges? Racketeering and s*x trafficking using force, fraud, or pressure. He’s denied all of it.
For months, he’s been locked up at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, and the trial kicked off just this week.
On Monday, both sides gave their opening statements. Then on Tuesday, Cassie, who dated him on and off from 2007 to 2018, started telling her side.
Diddy used to take away her stuff to punish her
Cassie told the court that Diddy would punish her by taking away her things. She said he’d take the car, the house, her jewelry, even her laptop and phone.
If she wasn’t around, his security or staff would grab them for him.
She said it all depended on his mood. “It depended on how long I was being punished for.”
What hurt more was losing her confidence
When they asked if he ever took anything else, she said: “My self-confidence.”
The ‘freak-off’ parties left her shaken
Cassie also talked about something she called “freak-offs.” These were s*xual encounters, she said, that involved voyeurism. Diddy would watch her with another man.
She was just 22 and didn’t understand what was happening
She recalled the first time it happened.
“I remember my stomach falling to my butt,” she said. “Just the nervousness and confusion… I had just turned 22.”
Diddy was the one calling the shots
According to the BBC, Cassie said it involved an escort, and Diddy would watch and direct everything.
Why she went along with it anyway
Even though she didn’t want to do it, Cassie said she still did because she cared about him.
“I loved him [Diddy] very much,” she said, “and wanted to make him happy.”
The ‘freak-offs’ started taking over her life
She said they weren’t just random. They felt like a job after a while.
“The freak offs became a job. There was no time to do anything else but do them then try to recover. The longest was four days, significant periods of time.”
Diddy’s moods kept her on edge
Cassie said his moods changed a lot, and when they turned, things got dark fast.
She said he had abusive behavior and would swing into anger out of nowhere.
She says the abuse was both physical and mental
Talking about how it affected her, she didn’t hold back.
“Greatly. The next thing I knew I was getting hit in the face. There was also psychological abuse. He’d tell me to watch my mouth, change my face.”
