The loss of Cameron Boyce came as a complete shock .
His sister, Maya, took to Instagram to share some of her most treasured pictures with Cameron, as well as a heartbreaking goodbye.

Cameron passed away on July 6th.
The Disney Channel actor starred in the show Jessie from 2011 to 2015.
He also starred in Descendants, Descendants 2, and Descendants 3 , Disney’s hit TV film series about the children of iconic Disney villains.
He played Carlos, the son of Cruella De Vil.
His cause of death was “an ongoing medical condition.”
Not much is known outside of what his family said via spokesperson.
“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.” They said.
They also spoke of his kindness.
“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.” They said.
They needed time.
Their spokeperson finished their statement with a request: “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
His dad posted a picture of him hours before his death.
Reflecting on his son, he said:
“My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives. I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I’m feeling but no one is immune to tragedy.”
He thanked everyone for their support.
“The outpouring of love and support our family continues to receive is so beautiful and appreciated. Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation.” He sadly concluded.
His co-star, Dove Cameron, also reached out to Victor.
She wrote below his post, “i love you and your whole family so much and forever. there was life before this, and now life after this. my thoughts have not left you and they will stay with you.”
His sister, Maya, then made her post.
She chose to write her thoughts out and post a screenshot of them.
She began, “Yes, he died. Yes, I’m sad.
Cameron was my best friend. He is someone I will always idolize.”
She loved his smile.
“His smile could light up a room, unlike anyone else’s.
He was perfect.
He always said that if you have a voice, you have the privilege of using that voice for change, and he did not take that idea lightly.”
He embraced his role in the world.
She continued to write about her brother’s pure heart. “He understood his responsibility as someone so many kids would look up to.
Cameron always went out of his way to be giving and kind.”
He lived a full life.
The impact he had was great:
“He did more with his 20 years of life, than most people ever could with 100 years. He was actively charitable. He traveled the world.”
He was also incredibly creative.
“He made creativity and art his life’s mission, and he encouraged others to do the same.
Of course, I am devastated. I will be for the rest of my life.” She wrote.
She found a silver lining.
“But what I’m holding onto, and what I encourage you to hold onto as well, is the memory of his endless optimism.
He was sunlight wearing shoes.
I can confidently say, he wants us to celebrate, grow, and persevere.”
She was happy and grateful.
“Yes, he died. Yes, I’m sad. I’m also happy. And grateful. I was with him hours before he died. It was normal and fun. We said, ‘I love you.’
He was happy.”
She honored him beautifully.
She finished off her tribute beautifully.
“I spent 17 years knowing what it was like to be loved by Cameron Boyce. That is the most beautiful gift I have ever received.”
