Austin Butler, Who Will Be Playing Elvis Presley, Attends Met Gala With Priscilla Presley

On May 2nd, Butler appeared alongside other famous celebrities and attended the Met Gala looking drop-dead gorgeous, alongside Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla Presley. He had the smolder OUT.

He paired it with a silver chain, and had some rings and pins to bring his look together. His hair is dyed his signature blonde color and he had it perfectly mussed.

Butler, who will be playing Elvis Presley in the Baz Lurhmann-directed biopic, decided to bring Priscilla Presley as his date. And it worked out great for both of them.

"For those curious about the new film ELVIS, Baz Luhrmann, the director, provided a private screening for me and Jerry Schilling at Warner studios recently." she wrote on Facebook.

"It is a true story told brilliantly and creatively that only Baz, in his unique artistic way, could have delivered. Austin Butler, who played Elvis is outstanding."

"Bravo to him…he knew he had big shoes to fill. He was extremely nervous playing this part. I can only imagine."

She also praised the cast and crew, before circling back to the story itself.

"But I think you will understand a little bit more of Elvis’ journey, penned by a director who put his heart and soul and many hours into this film."

Butler, 30, said that making Priscilla and Jerry Schilling, Elvis' former manager, "proud was really at the core of it all for me."

I can imagine the pressure was ON for him.

"I just set out to find his humanity as much as I could and bring that out with as much life as much as I could,"

The internet was going insane for how good he looked, and I mean, really, who can blame them? He turned up the charm, and he looked good doing it too. That's my opinion, anyway.

I personally think he will KILL IT. He already sounds so similar to him, it will be hard not to appreciate his performance I imagine.
