Just 20 Neat Pics That Left Us With A Smile On Our Face

Not everything in this world needs to be wild or unbelievable to be interesting. Sometimes, even something small or seemingly insignificant can be enough to make someone's day better.

With that in mind, these pictures are sure to leave at least a bit of a smile on your face. They may not all be super flashy, but they're still pretty neat.

"The way the mud froze on my truck looks like a painting of a forest."

A mud-covered truck may not be the most exciting thing in the world, but just look at that frozen mud! It makes such a cool pattern. It really does look like a forest with trees for miles.

But, uh, maybe the owner should clean it soon.

"This footnote is quite possibly the best thing I’ve read all year."

I mean, Uranus is a fine name for a planet and all. But just imagine if William Herschel got his way and got to call it George instead. It's a way better name, I think. Unintentionally hilarious.

"This pumpkin gradient."

Something about this gradient of pumpkins is just so satisfying to look at. And because it's so satisfying, it's making me really happy (also because it's a bunch of cute pumpkins, like, what's not to love?).

This right here is what fall's all about.

"All the rigatonis in my pot stood up after boiling."

I can't be the only one who finds this really funny, right? Like, they just stood up for no reason. It's like they're all hanging out in the pot, having a grand old time. Or, you know, something like that.

"This mini Monopoly I found at the store (fully functional)."

Why is this, like, the cutest Monopoly game I've ever seen? I'm trying to imagine playing with it, which I think would be super hard since all the pieces would be so small. But, like, it would be totally worth it.

"My girlfriend made a stew inside a pumpkin."

Okay, this is officially the coolest thing I've ever seen! It literally looks like something you'd see in a cartoon. It also looks insanely delicious, and I really wish I could try some of it.

"This slice of cheese with a face."

This Swiss cheese has a pretty shocked expression on its face. It's almost like it knows its fate. Poor guy never stood a chance... At the end of the day, it'll just be part of someone's sandwich.

"Frequent Flyers at Vancouver Airport."

Yeah, I dunno. They don't look like they have boarding passes (or passports, for that matter), so they probably can't go anywhere by plane...

For real though, imagine if birds took airplanes to travel. That would be so funny in a dumb way.

"The question mark scar on this apple."

Like this apple, I have a lot of questions. But since I probably won't get any answers, I'll just sit here and appreciate the marking on it. It's honestly almost too cool to eat (almost).

"This dog on a bathroom wall."

Not only does this indent look like a dog, but it also happens to look like a cartoon dog you'd see in a children's book. Very cute and sketch-like.

I can picture the story now. The happy dog finds a ball or something.

"The shadow of my towel hanging on the showerhead kinda looks like Batman standing heroically on a building."

I love the fact that this shadow specifically looks like Batman, staring down at Gotham city or something like that. I'm sure he has better things to do than hang around in some random shower, but, well, here we are.

"My grandma uses 152mm naval cannon shell as a plant stand."

I mean, it's not like it's needed for a cannon anymore, so I don't see why it can't be a plant holder. I'm sure this person's grandma has a lot of fun telling people about her cannon shell that was probably once very important, but is now even more important.

"The one hundred billionth Crayola crayon ever made!"

This is actually such a neat milestone. When you think about it, there are a whole bunch of crayons in a pack, so they must make millions every single day.

This was in 1996, so just imagine how many crayons Crayola has made by now!

"Shoebox was missing a label, one of the employees drew it on."

I mean, it's a pretty accurate depiction of a shoe... even if it doesn't look like the shoe it's supposed to be (it was colored in black, not brown).

But still, this is actually hilarious. Hopefully someone with a sense of humor buys the pair.

"I took a photo of an IRL wholesome seal.

That actually might be a sea lion and not a seal, but the point still stands! This is one wholesome-looking guy, and it deserved to be photographed.

It may resemble a certain meme, which honestly just makes the picture even better.

"Sunflowers have been growing in sidewalk gaps around the neighborhood."

This would definitely put a smile on my face if I saw it while walking down the street. This sunflower plant picked a spot and started to grow, even though it probably shouldn't be there. And to be honest, how can you not love that?

"The road buckled."

Is this kind of concerning? Yes. But at the same time, it's really funny. I don't know why, but the way the yield sign on the road became all wavy is making me laugh out loud.

But, uh, that should probably get fixed soon.

"The tall narrow doors specifically for giraffes at the zoo."

I kind of just love the fact that giraffes get their own special doors. I mean, considering how tall the average giraffe is, it make sense. But it's still really fun to think about.

I'm trying to imagine a giraffe walking through there. And I love it.

"Tire store I was at today has made an enormous ball out of all the labels they pull off the tires they put on cars."

I mean, what else are you supposed to do with them? Throw them out? That's too simple-minded. The people who work at this store were clearly thinking big (or they were just bored).

And you know what? It makes the perfect display piece.

"I adopted 2 miles of the Pacific Coast Highway last year. I’ve gone out almost every day and I’ve picked up over 100 bags worth of trash. Today my adoption signs were finally installed!"

Okay, I'm pretty sure my heart just grew three sizes after seeing this. Talk about someone who cares about the world around them. We should all be a little more like Jacob Drivas.
