Some people out there straight up have it all figured out. They don't seem to have a care in the world, all because they let their creativity guide them through every situation.

Sure, we can't all be like that. But we can at least appreciate the ones who have figured it all out. Like the people who came up with these surprisingly clever ideas.

"My dad made a wooden speaker system."

A phone plugged into a set of speakers made out of a piece of a tree branch/trunk.
reddit | thicka

That has to be one of the coolest speakers I've ever seen. The fact that it was made out of wood is just mind blowing. Like, who thinks of these things?

A genius, that's who.

This park bench that can double as a picnic table.

A woman sitting on half of a picnic table. The other half of the table is folded over to create a park bench.

I just know that the person who came up with this idea has ascended to the next plane of existence. This is top tier thinking. It's revolutionary. It's the future. It's – okay, I think you get the picture.

"Mom using her car phone holder for written driving directions."

A woman driving in a car. Underneath the rear view mirror rests a phone stand that's holding a yellow notepad.
reddit | TheBikeWhisperer

I'm not gonna lie, I have mad respect for this woman. She straight up does not care, and it's pretty amazing. Why use a phone stand for a phone, when you could just use it for written directions instead?

"Used a leaf blower and a funnel to inflate a pool. Actually worked fairly quickly."

A person using a funnel and leaf blower to inflate a medium-sized outdoor inflatable pool.
reddit | crazyanne

Now that it's officially pool season, I'm definitely looking for ways to blow up all my pool toys without wasting my whole afternoon. This might be the smartest, coolest idea I've ever seen when it comes to pool stuff.

This computer mouse that got turned into a belt buckle is blowing my mind right now.

Somehow, this thing is so tacky, it's actually kind of cool. Would I wear one? Maybe not, but I also had to think for a while before answering, so there's that.

A fake bookcase door that's also a fake bookcase.

A door decorated to look like it's a bookcase.
reddit | RiverHowler

I'm not gonna lie, it would be waaaay cooler if this was an actual secret bookcase door. But this is probably the next-best thing. It gives off the illusion of giving off the illusion that there's nothing to see here.

"My local supermarket built a little habitat for their mushrooms."

A grocery store mushroom display with a real log and growing mushrooms in the middle.
reddit | hugomcjohnson

I never thought I'd be so impressed by a grocery store, but here we are. This is seriously cool. And the best part? You know the mushrooms you're about to buy are nice and fresh.

The instructions for this frozen pizza are removable, so you can get rid of the box.

A perforated square of cardboard with pizza cooking instructions on it, which came off of a larger box.
reddit | M0unti

This is something moms everywhere have been doing manually (at least my mom did). Any company that makes it easier to take the instructions off the box so you can recycle it is clearly playing the long game.

"How much information my classmate managed to fit on her exam notecard."

A cue card filled with thousands of tiny words worth of notes.
reddit | OperaStarr

They tell you that you can bring one cheat sheet in, but they don't tell you how much stuff you can write on it! As long as you can actually read all that stuff, you're gonna do well on the test.

"Ahoy! 🏴‍☠️ I humbly submit a photo from my redneck pirate ship build."

A boat floating on water. It's shaped like a pirate ship, complete with an upper level.
reddit | JodyShackelford

I'm actually insanely jealous of this person. They're kind of living the dream right now. Like, imagine getting to ride around a lake, river, ocean, anywhere, in a replica pirate ship!

"This gate allows walkers and horse through but blocks vehicles."

A gate blocking a wooded path. An opening in the middle allows for walkers and horse riders to pass through.
reddit | OneArmJack

Maybe I'm just too easy to impress, but I think this is a crazy smart idea! Cars can't get through, but anyone else can. Way to make sure the path is nice and safe for everyone.

"Make some handles out of tape on your air filter to make removal easier."

A furnace air filter partially sticking out of a furnace with blue tape on two ends.
reddit | TopOdaBottomOdaBarel

I feel like this also acts as a reminder that you should be replacing your furnace filter frequently. Like, every few months or so at least. And yeah, using a bit of tape would make it so much easier to replace.

"Precision Air Redirection at my work."

A ceiling air vent with two pieces of cardboard taped to one side, directing air flow in the opposite direction.
reddit | mewylder22

Sometimes, the best solution really is the simplest one. All you need is a little cardboard and some tape, and you can direct the air in your office to go exactly where you want it to. Subtly genius!

"How I make iced coffee without diluting it."

A cup of coffee resting in a glass bowl with ice in it.
reddit | OlderNerd

Some people might freeze coffee cubes, which works, but takes a lot of time and has to be done beforehand. This person just used an ice bath, which is way faster and, frankly, so much cooler (pun intended).

"This woven advertisement for weaving classes."

Two ads for weaving class that have been woven together at a 90 degree angle.
reddit | dingdangdangcrows

I've never really thought about weaving, but if I ever want to try it out, I would only want this person to teach me. Whoever made this ad clearly knows what they're doing, and I wouldn't be able to trust anyone else.

"Girlfriend's mom figured it out."

The end of a bed that has pool noodles covering the metal frame.
reddit | geo4774

I'd like to take a moment of silence for all the bruised ankles and stubbed toes out there. Those evil metal bedframes can't hurt you anymore. Not if you cover them up with pool noodles or some other soft/cushiony thing.

"The sun never enters my bedroom, mirror outside to reflect it in."

The sun shining into a mirror in a yard that's facing a house.
reddit | uncharmedsoul

In a perfect world, we'd get enough sun in our rooms. But since the sun has to go and be in different spots during the day/throughout the year, this is probably the next best thing.

"My bathroom sign. It has been in my family since the 40's."

A bathroom sign with a hand that you can turn to show whether it's "safe" to go in or not.
reddit | startrekmama

This is both hilarious and clever. Because let's face it, there are plenty of times when you go to the bathroom and hope no one else in your house needs to go in after you.

"This guy already in 3022."

A hand holding a pair of chopsticks attached to a clothespin to allow for easier use.
reddit | esberat

I'm not going to shame anyone who has trouble using chopsticks. Unless you grow up with them, it can be a learning curve. I'm sure plenty of people out there could benefit from chopsticks made to look like this pair.

"This solution for my luncheon meat."

Lunch meat cut in halves and arranged into a square to fit on top of a piece of bread.
reddit | UnagiRules

A fancy design? Even lunchmeat coverage on all corners of the bread? I have to say, this might be one of the smartest ways to arrange a sandwich I've ever seen.
