Britney Spears Declares She’s ‘Married’ Again In Bizarre Post One Year After Her Divorce

Oops! Britney Spears has done it again — this time, with an Instagram post that’s nothing short of bizarre.

Just one year after divorcing Sam Asghari, the 42-year-old pop icon shocked fans by announcing she’s “married” again, but in a much less conventional way than you might expect.

Britney and her ex-husband Sam Asghari tied the knot in June 2022 at her Thousand Oaks mansion. But after just 14 months of marriage — and a lot of ups and downs — Sam filed for divorce in August 2023.

The split was finalized in May 2024, leaving the “Toxic” singer officially single again… at least, until her latest Instagram announcement.

Since the divorce, Britney’s love life has been anything but straightforward.

She’s been romantically linked to Paul Soliz, a handyman she met while he worked at her home. But then she declared herself “single as f—” on Instagram, throwing fans into a whirlwind of speculation about her actual relationship status.

In a recent Instagram clip, she donned a white silk wedding dress, paired with a lace veil and black pointed heels. While she looked like a bride, there was a slight twist. She’s not marrying anyone but herself. Yes, Britney Spears has officially “married” herself.

In the video, set to Sting’s “Fields of Gold,” Britney posed in her wedding attire with her signature blonde waves and smoky eye makeup.

She even posted a picture of an empty church, but left the details up to the imagination, with initially no caption to explain her bold self-marriage.

She captioned the video of herself dressed as a bride, explaining that the footage was taken a while ago.

Britney added that while it may seem odd or embarrassing, she’s quite proud of her commitment to herself.

“The day I married myself … Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done!” she penned.

As if this wasn’t enough, Britney quickly followed up with a poolside video, rocking a yellow bikini and enjoying the sun.
